I am not voting, I can't see anything. The compression on the mov is horrible. But what bugs me is the preview thing is way off-centered. smile

Rating: +1

well maybe you should try downloading the WMV file. ANd as far as the preview thingy being off centered. Maybe it's just your screen or something wrong with your media player. Or mayber you are cockeyed. Who knows. Either way all you have been doing is voting 1 and 2 on everything I post. ANd I know it doesn't deserve that. So if you are having problems then it has to be your PC. BUt I am in search of a decent encoder to get even better quality.

I thought the other trailers were bad. If it is a trailer I give it a 3 or below, unless it was stunning, and for teasers I base it on editing. I saw it blurry and it was good. But my media player is not screwed up. It i in the quicktime version and the preview thingy is at the top of the screen instead of in the middle, I'm talking up down wise, not left right.

EDIT: Even the pic for one of your trailers is offcentered up down wise. It's nothing big, it was more of a joke.

EDIT2: I am not even on a PC. wink

Ok, (sorry about double post here.) I would give it a 2, but you seem to think my opinion is somehow wrong, so I will give it a 3 as it was better then the others. I realize you spent time on it as well.

So, the reasons for the 2 rating (trailerwise), the sound effect at the beginning sounded like fairies or something, it was just weird, sorry. Then the lip syncing with the girl wasn't top notch, could've been better, if that is what it was. This isn't a reason, but the third beginning logo was very amateurish compared to the others, you have title skills and this degraded them. Then the end titles credits, the logos at the bottom looked oddly placed. I am not sure how proffesionals do it, can't remember, but watch them as examples. I'm pretty sure they are cutout and black and white as if text. Again, those last two things are not reasons for the rating. The effects were stunning. The explosion, sabers were pretty good, the slow mo, the catch of the saber, the cg was very good. But I judge trailers on editing, sorry if my opinion is wrong.

I know... I have it, he just said there might be a problem with my PC, I just watched it on WMP, even though it is horrible on Mac. Hence the wink Pooky. (Bah, you forced me to double post when I thought I did, then I didn't, and now I did, and I'm lazy. smile)

I like your ICON Eve! Invader Zim was a bad ass cartoon. ANyways yeah the compression on the quicktime is bad I'm trying to find a decent compressor for my quicktime files. Also the lip sync wasn't supposed to be the girl talking. It was from somone elses mouth at another part in the film. But anyway I am trying to recompress the quick time file. If anyone has any suggestions on encoders please let me know. I need one badly

I'd like to see the finished product. I think it looks decent so far.

Nice work on the trailer. Not sure if you needed three of them though.

Acually Jetaimaster. It's just modern day starwars. BUt a little futuristic. Becuase of the technology and space ships in the film. I also took a few themes from my all time favorite Trilogy the MATRIX. You'll see in the acuall film. I'll release it sunday night or Monday morning. I should have it perfectly compressed by then.

the fx we very good, the stunts looked good.

The hand held camera shots are what let it down, if you guys could chip in for a stedicam jnr it would make it perfect.

Did you do the light-sword effects with alam? If so, how did you make them look so good? If it was not alam, than which program was it?

Will for sure see this when it arrives, looks very promising, although, as Ian said, those handheld shots didn't look too good.

The only thing that impresses me is that your doing your sabers in ae. The rest I thought was lame and typical. Using Spiderman trailer music and themes from THE MATRIX trilogy? Do yourself a favor and check out some indie films.

Yea that was alittle harsh, especially considering you've supported my films so much.

Constructive criticism.

I'm glad you're starting to use ae, it leads to a world of better things.
I'm also glad you're breaking into the world of 3d and not just using two dimensional alam plugins.
You get points in my book for doing the sabers the hard...well harder than alam way with the Ryan W technique.
Some of the angles looked interesting.

Even though it's like your backyard, lightsaber, visual effects o-rama kind of movie, maybe you have a really complex plot thought out that goes through it. If that's the case then you've made up for the costumes and the setting and some of the more mediocre looking effects.

Hey sorry about those harsh comments Matt, and just keep with it. biggrin
