This is a short movie me and my sister made, just a boring rainy day, so we decided to make a movie, I'm actually quite happy how it turned out. Its realy just a test to try a different genre for once, also getting better at editing thats what i need to practice more. Hope you guys enjoy

Okay......here goes.

THE GOOD: Shote were framed okay, not the best, but okay. Tone was set well.

THE BAD: Effect placement just didn't work out. It seemed right, but it just wasn't. Also, the story must've had some hiddedn meaning, hence the flash of that ominous figure at the end; but I didn't really get it.

THE UGLY: The music. Cool music, but It appeared sudden;y when no sound or music track had appeared previously in the movie. It didn't fit the movie, either.

Well there you go. I thought "The Future Boys" had some promise, but this one really isn't worth talking about that much. Sorry. Better luck next time! smile

Not too bad for a days work. The camera was a bit jumpy when you were sneaking up on her, but you did a fairly decent job with the effects. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with next.

Thanks, yeah the jumpy camera was supposed to give the ghosts point of view, but i think i made it too long. I know its boring, and the story doesnt have any hidden meanings, there just realy isnt a story biggrin
I just filmed some stuff and slapped it together. We are going to start working on something way better than future boys I and II, we dont know the title yet, but it'll be good. Thanks guys for all your comments.

Interesting little piece you made here. Ahh...so what to say?

Well, I thought it was a little strange- to me, it just didn't make much sense. I didn't quite get the plot of the movie, and the ending was strange.

I think this piece proves the importance of music in film. Notice how if this was put to any other music, the mood would have changed drastically. For instance, if the song in the background was something sweet, like "Blackbird" by The Beatles, it would have seemed like a cute little segment of a girl walking. If the music was something techno, it would have been funny becuase, personally, I don't think that would fit in there. That song you used was good for the most part, but it didn't tell the audience how to feel. It was one song that didn't create different moods.

I presume that song was "Sweet Dreams"- Marilyn Manson's cover of the Eurythmic's song?

I don't think a Manson song really works too well for movies that are anything but really dark action packed movies.

This was very boring. It seemed like the majority of it was the girl walking around by the river for seemingly no reason, and nothing happens until the end, when it just ends. You could have cut most of that out and had her just walk down, and then the light thing comes up. And since that song doesn't have any building tension or anything, it really doesn't help the pace or flow of the "story" at all.

Better luck next time, I guess. neutral

as others have said, very boring. your shots were too long and drawn out. you need more cuts to keep the atmosphere and tension in the scene up for this kind of movie. you also need to watch the music. definately the wrong choice for this movie. didn't flow well at all and I was very distracted by wondering why you picked this music. Not that there was much to be distracted from, because again, to me, it was just a girl walks into the woods then a light shows up with a lot of useless stuff in between.

A nice effort, but with these comments, you will be able to make your next project so much better.

Good luck.

I didn't find it boring. There was one shot, like a P.O.V. of the girl stood by the river, that was boring. But I didn't find anything else to be like that.

I liked it, some dodgy bits of zooming and not enough light in places (though that made the woods look kinda creepy.) Didn't like the music, but that's just personal taste.

While this film is obviously very rough and raw around the edges. I think it is good, the fact that it's not really about anything somehow seems irrelevant, nore the fact that it doesn't really make sense. More like it's about the subconcious. The title and the fact that it starts with a dream sequence for one, and the whole film is fairly dream like. Which is helped by the crazy music and the long, wide shots, and very still scenes that somehow still have motion in them, that run for a while. I don't know how much of that you set out to achieve, but I think you achieved it, kind of like if David Lynch was only 15 again and not as talented. (no offence)

Yeah, If you trimmed down that one shot I mentioned and maybe did some crazy stuff with the sound, it'd be better. This is your best work yet I think. If there was more in the way of character developement and plot, I don't think it'd work (that's the first time I've ever said that) as their (possibly accidental) abscene aids the surreality of it, and it's dream like state.

Well done, you've accidentally made a good film. Reminiscent of "Lost Highway" in a strange way.

4 stars. Good work.

Hey, thanks for your comment didnt look here for a while, wow 4 stars thats pretty cool. Im going to be making another movie soon. This is the first one i actually thought out before making. I wrote a story. Made a storyboard, and thought it all out in my head. I spent quite a lot of money( well for me) on the costume. Im hoping to film it soon, and i also hope this turns out good. I guess the stupidest this i was doing to this day was not thinking. I always get over excited and want to do everything right away. This time i took the time to plan. Wish me luck ppl.
