Nice idea. Not too difficult technically though, if you can handle a 3D tool. smile

I think thats mosty blue or green screened. Using a 3D app to make faces those good would cost a fortune and take years.

that guy has one of the most annoying voices I have ever heard. Anyway, the video was interesting enough, but I found it difficult to listen to the song.

I was talking about the plan drawings.

Yeah, the faces were done using Makeup FX and Greenscreen I assume. Plus CG. wink

I'm thinking that they're not that great at guitar and I can do just as well (gets off high horse)
It is a cool effect though although the same thing could be acheived by vacuum forming McFly's faces (which would actually solve another problem as well twisted )

PS Anything that's a carbon copy of Busted is bad.

Heh. The video was DEFINITELY better than the song, but I wasn't very impressed by the video.

I know how you feel though- I'm not a big fan of Gwen Stefani, but that new song of hers, "What You Wating For?", has a great music video and it's a pretty catchy tune. I'm kinda caught between myself.

Mister Pencil puts Eric Clapton back on.

Well i like to think that the best music videos are the ones that have an intresting idea that i wish i thought of. That Gwen stefani vid is pretty good bit random tho and plus its sounds like she has an orgasm through
like the whole song, which isnt really a bad thing is it?

Franz Ferdinand is a joke.

Along with modest mouse and any of those other poser-punk bands.

lets not start a music argument here. I beleive it was you who stuck by the position of "everyone likes something different". You got your way, we won't complain, but that doesn't mean you can go breaking your own rule.

That is sarcasm, right?

I only meant their videos are good. Though they are also a great new band, I'm not going to start an argument.

Neither am I,

I'm simply fighting the belief that any of them are talented musicians.

PS.
Give me all the negative ratings you want, they don't phase me because of the fact that force means nothing. It is just a clever little 'game' designed to get new users to post more.

PPS. Anyone can say 'Take Me Out' for three minutes with absolutely no progression and a monotone voice.

I see you convieniently removed the smily from my post, as I was joking.

I almost posted something in retaliation, good thing you edited that post. biggrin

Lets all just agree that we have different musical tastes. I personally like take me out. Just because a song isn't an amazing show of instrument playing/vocals, doesn't mean it automatically sucks. There are plenty of movies like this that are very simple but are still great fun to watch and enjoy. The same applies for songs. People like different things, and we can argue about it if we feel like it, but lets not do it on the forums. wink

So... how bout that music video...?

Another music video that has some cool effects and stuff (And I happen to like the music.. razz) is System of A Down's videos for Toxicity and Chop Suey

The camera spins around one of the people, in a sorta orbit path, and each time it goes under, it changes who's standing there, but it's almost seamless.. Theres other neat effects in it too, but thats the best IMO

Oh, that link is bust. Maybe you have to be a member of that MSN group?

Are you completely retarded? Neither of those bands are
"poser-punk", or anything close to that. Good charlotte, green day, blink 182.. these are examples of "poser-punk".

I hate it when people try and talk about music when they have no goddamn clue.

You obviously you havn't a clue because Green Day made punk what it is today.

Just because they sold out later in their career doesn't mean they're posers.

And people continually compare Franz Ferdinand and Modest Mouse to punk bands, so if their not trying to be punk, their trying to be something comparable. If not, then I don't know what.

So then you're saying Green Day ruined punk, right?

I have never heard anyone compare Franz Ferdinand or Modest Mouse (ESPECIALLY not Modest Mouse) to any punk band at all. Have you even heard these bands? There is nothing punk about them.

Go listen to The Moon & Antarctica by Modest Mouse and come back and tell me you think they sound anything like punk. Hell, even their newest album sounds nothing like punk. Maybe if you're listening to some country rock/crazy folk punk... And if you are, I want to hear it because that'd be sweet.

Edit: Oh, also.. Modest Mouse isn't trying to be like anything. You probably think they're a new band since they only just got popular, but they've been around for probably 10 years now.

I could understand you using Franz Ferdinand as an example, since they're a relatively new band, but they still don't sound like punk.

Can we PLEASE stop talking about what bands may or may not have ruined some genre of music..?
If you don't like a certain band, don't listen to it, simple as that..
And start talking about the bands videos?
razz
*Stares sadly at doomed thread.. If people dont stop arguing about band ruining stuff*

That ok eveman, i'll say them for you.

Modest mouse is what i like to call, a group that couldnt find a sound, so they went with the whole "retro squelched voice and guitar riff" sound, just like ferdinand, who is a little bit harder.

Mcfly is playing music that died awhile ago, thank god. the video is interesting, however.

Green day DID make pop-punk what it is today. blink turned it into repetitive jokes songs about life and girlfriends, sung with a whiny high pitched voice, which is what Pop-punk is today.

The term "sold out" pisses me off, because what people mean by it. So, your saying that because someone decides to make money with they're music, that they arent good anymore and lose all talent and drive? simply retarded.

Most artists that choose to make "alternative niche" rock music like franz usually resort to catchy, yet completely Pointless/repetitive/bizzare lyrics and music, just to say that they are "original"..

Ok, im spent

What I mean by 'Sold Out' is they stopped playing music the way that made them, and instead went with what people wanted. Not necessarily what they wanted.
