|"If esoteric films are visual poetry, this is visual free verse" -Lennie M.|
In a world so dark, so disturbing, the truth can only be shown in such a way. One man's torment and sexual confusion are the theme of this film, the setting: madness. Religion, hell, conformity, the past, the future, and the present. ALL mean nothing in the world of Efab, yet all mean EVERYTHING.
If you like esoteric and artsy films, stop reading and watch it now.
Alright, now that those losers are gone, I get to tell you that this film is really making fun of artistic films, because, well, they suck. So please, watch this movie as a comedy, and I guess you can comment on the shots and so forth.
Starring the cast of The Wacky Three, my brother, and my kitty Shanpu, we all hope you enjoy.........Efab.
Also, I thought that it would be fun for everyone to post what Efab meant to them, what they thought it was about, and how they interpreted all the symbols.

Pretentious crap, like you said in the movie... esoteric movies are crap.
2 points for the effort and technique.
Don't get me wrong, I liked it to a certain point, but it didn't touched me in anyway.

I feel alive now I've seen it... Finally, I know what life is about... It's about love, freedom and understanding. We're all individuals and your dreams can come true...
Thank you Waser for opening my eyes

the best part about this movie is that it really has no plot, and I'd like for people make up their own based on their "interpretation"

That was damn awesome was, good job. Kinda reminded me of the ring video more than an arthouse flick, but it was hilarious and kind weird.

Efab a plot summary...
or is it eFAB?!
In mans endless quest for self reflective reasoning our hero ventures from his mothers womb and crawls through the ectoplasmic culture of reality. Upon juxtaposing the tangible with his dreams he realizes that reality is a fascade of inky black questions that pass through space, time and a doughnut.
Once rising above the first aeon of myth the traveler moves toward a light with longing breath. The light engulfs him and fills his soul with unending warmth. After drinking his fill of the knowledge of good and evil this human remembers what he has left. The persistence of this memory enshrouds his perception causing the child to fall from the light grasping at it as it fades in the distance.
Once returning to what has been previously labled as real, the pilgrim suffers the urge of rebirth. Then looks back to the far away light trying to stop his existence again and set forth beyond the first aeon and back to the unending pool of light.
Only this time the aeon has eaten the doughnut and will not allow the pilgrim to pass. In dispair the travel sick occupant of life decides to return to the womb but gets a drink of water and an antacid instead.

Der Neigunt Der Zeit, anyone?http://sjhs.stillwater.k12.mn.us/~pugo/artfilms/dndz.mov
Anywyas, nice job Waser. Perfect music choice, and many excellent random shots. If only you could have avoided repetition, it would have been awesome.
I also wouldn't of added those unfiltered, regular shots with the flashlight.
Still, good nonetheless. 3/5.

ahahah Der Neigunt Der Zeit was great. I'm really just glad people got it, and yeah, it is reptitious, because we really didn't have enough footage.
oh yeah, ten force to the first person to identify where the music is from

Andreas, I have no idea what that really was but some shots just made me laugh.
The horse-bumping was great, so was the first couple of shots.
You just made a very wierd movie, which is great!
You really are an Andreasi!

You're a true visionary. The written word cannot truly convey all the emotion that your film has created inside me!

Unparallelled emotion and feeling of enlightenment courses through my sphincter now I have watched this over and over, great stuff Waser.
Plus, the bit where the hand pops out really scares me.

this was very cool. this did take effort which was obvious and some of the shots were very well done. I especially found the hand popping out from the doorframe disturbingly weird...and the riding horse that just basically appeared in a hallway. I dunno i liked this, i always have liked this weird "esoteric" type of thing.good job. The only thing i didnt like was I felt you over did the pills in the cup shots and left out more of the hands type of shots which in my opinion better. 4/5...good work.

Heh, funny watching, & some genuinely good photography such as sped up & coloured images. It's so random though that it's hard to believe that it isn't, in fact, esoteric

Waser, Waser, Waser....hmm...What do I say about Efab...?....
Well, to be honest, I have no idea at all how to rate this. I found the film to be great at satire (on "artsy" films) and I thought it was well played out. Personally, it was just really fun to watch.
I'll give you a 4/5 becuase I loved it, but I feel strange now. Kinda like your film raped me or something.

I had to watch this mainly because we, here at Unified Studio Productions, also think art films are bullshit...for the most part. This film is definately cool. The beatnik music really played well with the varying shots you had. Great job. 5/5
