Alam DV3 will be relased before 2005, right? Then digigrade...
BUT:
What will come next, after Alam DV3 and DigiGrade?

Just wondering.....

Half Life 3. razz

The future of FXhome is top secret at the moment, though I imagine if the up and coming products are successful then they may well have sequels.

The main problem would be, the more that is added to the programs the less amateur film they become and the longer they take to code so the price would go up.

Either way, it's an exciting future, I can assure you.

To quickly address the very first question: What comes after AlamDV3, the Chromanator Upgrade and Digigrade;

From my understanding, the answer is simply that what lies ahead is an exciting future.

I reckon CSB should do a 5.1 Sound programme that creates Dolby Digital AC3 Files. That'd be sweet and it'd give amateur film makers another element to explore!

Moving from Video effects programs to Audio effects programs would be a rather odd move though.

I'd love to see an NLE from CSB, and have been thinking that would be their next move for some time now. I guess I'll just have to wait to see what they have next.

My guess would be they're still going to be working on upgrades to the three new programs for well near a year (or more) then start to scheme on another program.

Hmm. I disagree, Marek. Just looking at where CSB is now, they have gotten there by carving a unique place for themselves in the market. Alamdv will have success, even with programs like After Effects, because Alam is geared specifically for lower budget people.

But I can't see them taking on Adobe, Sony, Avid, Pinnacle, and all the other companies with NLEs. It would be way too much work, and would not do any real benefit to filmmakers, as the competition between these companies ensures that their NLEs will always be improving.

I'm agree that they will take a while to focus on updating and improving Chromanator, Alam, and Digigrade, while managing a (hopefully) much larger user base. But after that, who really knows? smile

But i mean something along the lines of like ANYTHING titling. Like i know iMOvie only has presets, but i mean like a title generator where we could build our own titles.
