|El Dorado county: the conservative stronghold of California. An unsuspecting man out for an afternoon drive is about to receive an unpleasant shock...|
A short fun film I made with my school video club. Shot in one afternoon, edited over the next week. All of the dialogue (and most of the action) was completely ad-libbed, but I like the way it turned out. Unfortunately we started shooting too late in the day and toward the end the sky starts getting really dark, but hey, time passes like that in the GTA games so I have an excuse (albeit a weak one).

hmm...that's weird. Works fine on my end of things.
Well, I compressed it with the MPEG-4 codec...maybe try updating your version of Windows Media Player? Other than that, I don't know.

heh, kind of cool. I liked the immortal womba thing you have going by the way. I dont think you had to say this was a knock off of GTA. You could have easily gotten away with it just bein some scumbag punks in a bad nieghborhood who started up. Anyway, the smoke on the rocket launcher looked good except something happened on the outline of the video which made it look weird. Explosion over the car and left over fire looked pretty good, so ill give this a 3. Nice job but could of definitley been a little better.

The whole GTA thing was the basis of the movie. The guys who played the thugs were new to the club and wanted to do a GTA parody, so we slapped one together and filmed it.
As for the "weird thing on the outline," that was an example of artificial screenshake gone wrong. The picture got rotated so much that blank space started to show. Anyway, thanks for the feedback.

Thanks. I wanted to have smoke/shrapnel exit the rear of the launcher but masking it when it went behind the guy's body would have been too much of a pain.

heh. Yeah, there were far too many people just hanging out when we were shooting, so it took forever to get each shot organized. But, seeing as it was just a quick fun project I wanted to have everybody "involved." We also had problems with traffic getting in the way of our shots as well, so it took much longer than expected.
