Hi All,

I was just wondering if AlamDV3 will contain an explosion system like the muzzle flash system and also i was wondering about the stock footage, will it contain explosions, i like the fireball clip which was used in one of chromy tutorials for artificial movement. It is just that i really am trying to get some good stock footage explosions like Artbeats so that i can use them in my film that i am going to do.

okay, well the explosion system is a toughy... see, you have to go to the front page and check the news posts, I know its tough, but you can do it.

As for the stock footage, they have said that there will be a sort of library.

Yeah the particle system will probably be able to generate some, but almost all of the particle explosions I've seen look fake and CG-ish. The only good digital explosions I've seen are 3D, and are hard to make and you need plugins and programs worht thousands of dollars.

However the ADV2 explosion plugins are very nice, especially the Ground explosion and Air Explosion ones by Sollthar. You can also buy the whoe set from www.nccinema.ch . Also, I'm sure the FXHome Stock footage library will have some great ones when it's up and running.

If you really wanted to, you could use the muzzle flash system to generate an explosion. It would look bad, though.

Is AlamDV 3 going to have a system similir to the "AlamDV 1" lightsaber feature?

I imagine it's going to have the best Lightsaber feature/system smile

The lightsaber system will be similar to a mask in Chromy. You will be able to create even flexy sabers. Check out one of the ADV3 news posts.

I know that. I have read all the news post, but nothing has been mentioned to my knowledge of an alamdv 1 mode like feature. That way of adding sabers is not in chromys masking system. At least, i do not think it is.

I know its not in Chromy's masking system. I was saying that will be like the system, in terms that you will free handedly draw the shape of the 'saber.
