I've obviously been given an illegal copy of AlamDV, as it wasn't ordered direct from this site, and like a fool I put in the magic code in the registration form and got the "Your IP was logged" etc. message. It said I needed to contact you within an hour, and this was the only way I could think of doing it (sorry if it's in the wrong place, I've only just registered and don't know my way round the forum). Unfortunately I've lost the contact details for the guy who sold it, so I can't report him or anything or get my money back. Sorry for the inconvenience guys, you must be really tired of messages like this.

Did you buy/download/get the code from a website or get it sent to you because if it's from a site you would still have the URL stored in your history.

I don't think there's a lot you can do about it really. Just out of interest how much did you pay this guy?

I don't have the site in my history anymore, because my browser's set to delete the history after so many days, and I clean out the internet temp folder weekly anyway. I can't remember exactly what I paid, somewhere around the £30-35ish mark by cheque. Obviously if I'd known it was an illegal sale I'd have paid the extra £10 and bought it from here.
I'll send an email to the address you posted and let them know. Thanks for your help and patience.

Well, we all look forward to you buying the software from here.

Hopefully no action will be brought against you in the court of law.

If you can remember the site, they could arrest the guy and such.

It's actually illegal to resell or to buy AlamDV from a third party at current. So it doesn't matter.

If you go to any of the product pages it says it is ONLY available here from the online store... that is NOT a lie.

Well he shouldn't but if you go and buy a rolex on a dodgy market stall and then find out its fake you don't expect rolex to hand over a real one.

To Sum everything up.

I don't think the company can do anything to help you I'm afraid. You've been sold something that you shouldn't have and unfortunately you've paid the price for doing so. At current, I believe the company have more important issues to attend to rather than potentially prosecuting you for making a rather silly mistake.

My only advice would be to find where you bought it from and report them to internet quality control companys and reseller sites so that they can be blacklisted.

If however, you downloaded the program illegally and entered a magic code that you also downloaded, no amount of excuses can help you. The programs here have measures in place to find out who's pirating them without them needing to come to the site and enter an illegal magic code.

Well, good luck.

The simple point is: I made a mistake. As I say, I didn't realise that legal copies could only be bought from Fxhome.com. Once I get together some money I'll probably order a legit version from the site. If I still had the details to contact the guy I'd be glad to report him, but I don't so I can't. All I can do is apologize for my mistake.
