I'm after a quick, but large bloody cloud to be used from a bullet impact please. It needs to have a frame or two of a cone-like shape, with a bit of white mist in there (as if its clothing fibres or smoke), and then a large explosion into a large mist of red. I have screenshots, Im after something very specific, and it doesnt need to last more than 14 frames or so, perhaps less.

If anyone feels they wish to help, I'll gladly send pics and converse further via PM and email.

Thanks for your time.

IF you can wait, Alam DV 3 will have a particle engine that you can manipulate to produce the effect your looking for.

At the moment all you can do is use what we already have, but remember, you can always layer the effects to produce a different look.

I've tried but it's not looking like what I need. I'll try some others, but if someone wants to help me I'd be very grateful.

sk8npirate tell me he may not be able to do this, although I am still awaiting a final, definite answer. Can anyone else help me out please?

From what I've read, they're no longer accepting submissions for plugins, as AlamDV3 won't be using them - it will generate the effects within the program. As of today, it's about 71% done...

So users are not allowed to make other users plugins?

As far as I know, the website is no longer accepting new plugins. If you can get someone to make you something, they could still post a link here...

That's what Im asking, Stee. I'm not wanting to submit any more to the website, this would be for my own usage. Thanks for the info, though.

Fxhome aren't accepting plugins anymore, but as said that doesn't mean altruistic guys aren't able to help you out. Be sure, though, to put links in personal messages rather than posting them here, as doing so would encourage people who pirate AlamDV. Any links inserted in this post would be removed anyway.

If you are really into this project, I would avoid a digital effect, even with Penguin it will look digital. Do it on the set, take time to rig up a little device and use creative editing to get it to fit in well.

Penguin is the particle engine of AlamDV 3. Check it out here http://fxhome.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=16485
