Yeah, I finally got my file converted to AVI. I was really happy, but then I try to put it in but I get this annoying pop up saying:

AlamDV2 could not automatically detect the frame rate of the movie you have selected . Please select the movie's frame rate in the movie below.

Erm... I don't know my movie's frame rate... how do I figure this out. When I select ANY number I get this:

Index out of range

Script Error. Continue.

I do that and... nothing.

Help... please?

If the file was an avi file alam should automatically select the frame rate. The error message suggests that ur file might be corrupt. I'm not sure about the details of how you got the file into avi format, but it's a problem I've had before, and ive had to render my films in a different program to get it into avi format.

Your framerate should be 25 fps or 29.97 fps

If inputting either of these don't work, use this program to find out what your framerate is:-

http://www.headbands.com/gspot/gspot221.exe

It's not a virus, it's a renowned "codec information appliance", so just download, install & then right click on your avi file wherever it's saved & open it with the gspot icon. Look for where it says the framerate & then type in that number in AlamDV

I use STOIK Video Converter.

I could use the converter that you suggested, but... it only accepts MPEG files, which I don't have, because I edit in Mover Maker 2.

Also, when I downloaded the program that Mellifluous suggested, I tried to put it in but it said: Not a vaild AVI File

So I'm REALLY confused.

Ack.
