I dunno if this has been discussed yet...but how did u guys like the film Constantine with Keanu Reeves.
I thought it was BRILLIANT... absolutely a wellthought through story...EFFECTS were breathtaking...espicially where Lucifer makes the time go slower and walks though the glass pieces...

Well...I wanted to bring up this discussion...Many think that it is a mixture of Matrix and the excorcist...yet it was a Comic known as "Hell Blazer". What do u guys think about this?

Cheers,

You should add a spoiler warning in the thread topic just to be on the safe side.

Yeah, I really enjoyed it as well. I had never read the comics, so I think that helped it. I get the feeling that people who read the comics would hate it, because they changed a lot of stuff that made the comics unique.

But yeah, great effects, great acting (Even Keanu did a pretty good job, although he was just the same as always), pretty decent story, really great camera work.

I recommend it.

I thought it was really good. It had good special effects and had a kind of matrixy like feel to it. I really enjoyed watching it. The ending fight scene was awesome where they got sprayed with Holy Water!

I just saw the poll and yeah, I kind of explained why, I thought the movie came out like, in a while from now. Like, I thought it was no questions asked "does this movie look cool, or bad etc?"

Yeah, so like I said, "Way to read the first post". Even the poll title is "How did u like Constantine?". People with working brains can easily figure things like that out.

I could understand if you didn't understand english, but you do. smile

Just answer if you liked the film? and why ?

Thanks for reading,

i didnt like the movie becuase it seemed like it was way too full of itself. They had lines that made the movie seem deeper than it really was. Bad acting. ONE good action sequence that lasts about 5 seconds. THe script to me was pretty much a bunch of one-liners.

If you don't get a joke, ignore, but for now I will explain. Waser said he hated it, I voted for I hated it even though I had never seen it. So I was saying I am not the only one who hated it, as a little joke.

not really. most of the time, especially durring the action sequences (especially the bug demon fight) i couldnt tell what the hell was going on. the camera was just too fast and had too much on the screen at once. the one part of the movie that made me ooze a little was the bit in the hospital with the cross gun and flash light. that was badass, but it only last liked 6 seconds

I thought the fight against the bug demon was awesome...or even the excorcism at the beginning of the movie, with that weird demon coming out of the mirror. That was cool! But the action scene where they spray holy water onto the demons was awesome...or the luther scene where he walks through the splintered glass things...THAT WAS FRIGGEN AMAZING !!!

Even the first scene, where the guy s run "over" by a car...it looks so realistic eventhough he actually survives it.

"SPOILER": I LOVED that Gabrielle was the actual bady behind this whole movie...made it unexpecting. Did u all udnerstand the scene with this chubby guy going into a shop and wanting to drink, yet nothing comes out? Well i f you didnt this is my theory: He drank the alcohol, but the demon let him think that he didnt, making him have an alcohol poisining ! Cool huh, I am a genious!

I thought this movie was very entertaining and well made, although having never read the comics, it seemed like a very noir comic style. What i thought was really slick about it was the fact it wasnt obvious what would happen to constantine. although it was obvious the world would be saved. The cinematography was very, very fitting, and the effects were friggin awesome. The one scene that reallly stood out as adrenaline rushing kickass was the Holywater sprinklers/shotgun massacre. Simply brilliant editing and sound.

So, wait, I'm lost........the angel Gabriel teams up with the devil against Constantine? Wha-?
Keanu Reeves. He's like Arnold......gets paid by the word.

"This is bad."

"No way."

"I'm a person."

Y'know, stupid stuff like that, which doesnt make sense, and leaves the script running on stand-up jokes and one-liners. Thats one reason why I'm not really interested in this film. Because despite good, well thought-out-looking characters, (Rachel Weisz) and a cool concept of holy parallels between earth and the beyond, it still has that one thing..................

Keanu Reeves.

Waser, you have given 5's to such films as Phighting Phox Phans... Your opinion on this topic is no longer valid.
