ah, a movie with bad camera, bad acting, over-used music and kind of bad lightsaber fx... who doesn't love that?

timmy, you can't expect a story from a test. but you can expect other things when no story is to be saught after

Hmm, well the lightsabers were placed the wrong way around, I'm afraid smile The blurred part actually goes on the sides of the saber, not the ends. Also, try placing some AlamDV Lightbulbs on the point of contact between the blades. And finally, next time you could try to act more like you're *trying* to hit him, because now it just looked like you were touching your saber to his, moving back, waving your saber, touching it again. And then there was a random quote confused

Anyway, if this is your first try, it's what is to be expected. Keep trying and you'll get some much better results. And AlamDV3 won't hurt either biggrin

Your strongpoint is definitely sound editing. I thought the sound fx and music pace was exceptional.
I know you're just getting used to ALAM DV but here's some stuff that might help:
1. Try using masks when lightsabers go behind stuff, (like a leg) it looks alot better and once you get used to it, it's alot easier.
2. Use a mark of some sort, like a piece of black tape to mark where the hilt meets the blade so you can retain some consistency.
3. Take your time, try going over your production twice. Yeah I know this was just a test, but you would be surprised how just an extra half hour of tweaking to perfection can increase the look of your duel.

I know it was just you and your dad, so I'm not expecting back flips or anything, but I hope to see some more creative coreography in the future. Maybe try giving your dad a blaster rifle.

Congratulations on your first test, don't stop there.
Keep it up.

It looked like country dancing only more boring, very gently tapping 2 sticks together, walking backwards, tap sticks, walk backwards........

But then again it was only a test.

I'm sorry, that probably wasn't the best word, it was the first thing that came to mind.
