I saw that my local store had a copy of AlamDV 2. I bought it and the shopkeeper told me that it is a legitimate copy. I later realised that it was version to and version 2.15 was awailabe. The shopkeeper told me that the upgrades are free for legitimate buyers and I downloaded the v2.15 from the website. He had given me a Reg name and serial also.

The shopkeeper also gave me 2 of the so-called magic codes. And when I tried it, the website gave warning that I have tried an ILLEGAL magic code and my "CRIMINAL" details will be forwarded to my ISP

Was I cheated by the shopkeeper sad ?
Will I be prosecuted for wntering a invalid magic code?

If I was cheated I request the FXHOME STAFF not to take any actions against me as I was unaware. sad

The only place you can purchase AlamDV2 is from our online shop. So yes, your local store has cheated you.

Please send us any codes you were given, the address of the shop and a photo of the box. Email them to team@fxhome.com and we will be able to investigate further.

Given that AlamDV has never been sold in a boxed form, this story is tragic in several ways

a) that you bought a copy,
b) that the shop went to the trouble of making the box, when any legitimate shop owner would have known there are no boxed versions anyway

and

c) that you think feeding us this completely fictional 'shop' story is going to somehow fool us when we know for a fact it has never been boxed.

Come on, own up - you found the fake serial on the net and typed it in. You were scared by the warning message you received and decided to make up a story which absolves you of the responsibility.

Your failing was, unfortunately, that you weren't to know AlamDV isn't available in a boxed format, so your nice little story is quite transparently fictional. A shame really, because if AlamDV *was* available in a box, you wouldn't have accidentally trapped yourself with your own lie.

Why didn't you state the name of your "local store"? Seems like the first thing you would do if you did indeed purchase a dodgy copy.

The fact there is no boxed version of AlamDV2 and its not really worth the time to make fake boxes as its such a cheap program also seems a bit suspect.

Will be interested to see all the details of this shop, the price you paid, the pictures of the apparent box etc...

What I said was true. There was no box actually it was in a CD inside a cover. That is the way in which things are sold here. Anyway it was returned back to the shop and I took back the money.

Now since I know that you sell it only online I will have to ask my relatives who stay in UK to pay for it. Its more easier than sending a cheque from my country (India).

You don't have to be in the UK to buy AlamDV, you can buy it online from any country in the world. All you need is a credit card or paypal account.

Copyright has nothing to do with it. If you are using alamdv illegally, thats stealing. Theft is punishable in all countries, last time i checked.

Anyway.....If you're going to buy it legitimately, thats cool - you don't need to be in the UK though: the shopping system will take any currency as you pay through credit/debit cards.

I laugh every time I read a new thread like this.... It's always a variation of the same bogus story. Must be a very harshly-worded warning message. smile
