How do you make glow and transparency when making a plugin?

When making plugins how can you make a glow on the Attribute #1 (#2) or trasparent etc., ect.

Glow, something with two layers etc, I dunno redface

When I made plugins (yeah, they are very nice rolleyes eh ) the plugin-maker made transparency without me doing nothing...

well, I must be missing something. . . .


'cuz when I do it i'll put in transparency in the 2nd Attribute Box but then something comes up that says...

'Effect Scipt for layer 1
You can use all these functions to change the values below
attribute1, attribute2, videox, videoy, rotation, windowx, windowy,menuy
For many effects you don't need to input these values.
Several math functions work- check the pdk for a list.'

I'm i missing something there? Please let me know if i am, Thanks!
