Wow! All I have to say is Wow.. I'm breathless. I'm speachless. I'm just incredibly astonished.

.....becasue the CTV station in Canada overroad the FOX broadcast of the O.C and cut out the Episode III trailer. I got about a second of it, as they swtiched station signals.

I hope some of you actually got to see it.

Anyways, what are your opinions about it? Was it worthwhile or was it a letdown?

That was amazing, and the OC, I just discovered is amaz....CRAP. The most boring show in the world. I can't believe I sat through that. But I can't explain the Star Wars trailer, this may sound corny, but it was an emotional thrill ride for me, growing up with watching Star Wars. Wow, I can't wait.

EDIT: Didn't read your post, I am soo sorry to hear that. Most unfortunate.

EDIT 2: http://boards.theforce.net/Revenge_of_the_Sith_(Spoilers_Allowed)/b10331/18710564/?38
If I saw that earlier, I may have warned you.

That sucks. I hate Hyperspace. I can't afford the dang thing, and I sure a, not going to watch the O.C.

Why can't they post it normally online like any other film would?

I sometimes question the logic behind that.

I guess I'll sit through TV tommorrow hoping for it to show up.

That was an incredible trailer. That has just renewed all hope that I may have lost for this movie. Unbelievable.

I will most likely go into Robots just to see that trailer, and then leave. Of course, I won't pay.

Maybe it's just me, but I think Hyperspace is the most idiotic thing ever to hit the net, and is obviously blatantly a money-making venture. I mean, come on, they are showing the TRAILER, meant to advertise and SELL the film, to people already paying like 50 bucks. Isn't the point of the trailer to spread the film around and get people interested? What's withholding it doing, if not TAKING AWAY business?

Now, don't get me wrong, I would LOVE to have a HYperspace account, but I just think it is abit much. (And don't feel you need to answer the questions above, they're strictly retorical.)

And did anybody capture any of that to thier computer? I'd sure love to see it, since I missed it.

Yeah, but theres still a problem with that: AOL. Bah! I dread to think of the days in which I was forced to work under the horrid internet conditions of AOL.

It's gonna be cool to see the progressive degeneration of Palpatine. I counted at least three different versions of him in the trailer: normal, partially messed up, full-on Emperor. It would have to take some pretty major turns to let me down at this point.

I'll see it because it's star wars, but I wont expect much... in fact, I was disappointed in the trailer... stupid Yoda with a saber... god...he might as well drink Pepsi all through the movie... when did Star Wars loose it's mystical and philisophical feel? Oh yeah, episode 1. I know it's the times that dictate more science, but the old movies had a universal feel to them... the struggle between good and evil, the search for god, the responsibilty of power... the new ones have politics, special effects abuse, and jar-jar... Yoda looked great as a puppet, now he looks like freaking Shrek. I hate when they do that... Oh well, I'll still see it at least once- I mean, it IS Star Wars...

This looks brilliant and in fact the fight with Yoda in the Senate chambers looks really cool, pods flying everywhere. It looks like it will feel very different to the other SW movies but very slick still.
How can you not love the shots of Anakin with the Stormtrooper posse behind him in the dark?

Yeah, that was probably the best Trailer I've ever seen!

I expected a short, kinda cool trailer, but that! No! That was AWSOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(sorry)

Yeah that was cool!

But when that guy come out with two droids with him was that General Grevious? That didn't look like him but just curious.

It just shocked me!

"You are under arest Chancelor-- Activates Saber

Are you threatening me, master jedi?
LUNGE!

Too. Cool. For. Words.
You're right Waser!

(I'm a getting a little out of control?)

On SuperShadow I heard anakin helps Palpatine kill the jedi that are trying to arest him and then grabs a troop of clones and kills the little jedi kids!!!

It's going to be dark, but it's going to be AWSOME!!!!!!!!!!!(didn't I already say this?)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! [/quote]

I was quite astonished by the trailer. As most people know, I'm one of the few who actually likes eps 1 & 2 (though I am aware of their many flaws, I still thoroughly enjoy them), so I had high hopes for ep3, but this trailer still astounded me.

It's quite possibly the most affecting, exciting trailer I've ever seen. What really surprised me was the sheer smothering darkness of the thing. I mean, it looks really, really grim! I hope the film itself is as intense as the trailer.

So many incredible shots I don't know where to begin. But four that stick in my mind are Bail Organa screaming in anguish at something, the wookies clearly in big trouble in some kind of blizzard (amazing to see wookies so expressive and real), Padme rather upset at something, and Obi-Wan's fury and despair at the end.

"YOU WERE THE CHOSEN ONE!!"

i liked every single shot in that trailer! really cool when anakin walks in the big hall with all the clonetroopers behind him.

btw are they still called clonetroopers in episode III? or are they called stormtroopers ? hmm think

The trailer was ok, I wasn't blown away but loved the footage of Anakin & the emperor, plus Obi Wan going "But you were the Chosen One!"

Barton is hot, roumers sais she dosen't even spend time with the other cast members and is a bitch.
I love O.C. and think it's Adam Brodys show all the way.

HOLY SHIXIT that was cool. I thought the theme was a bit too mellowed down in the second half, but I loved it. My fave line is "Are you threatening me master jedi?" and then theres that weird tone when he jumps towards them. Sammy L. as a jedi. Does it get any better?

smile

Although I think "YOU WERE THE CHOSEN ONE!!!!" seems a bit out of place in the trailer, or cut-off/said with the wrong inflection.

Off topic again, I have mixed feelings about Barton. She's been a great actress & is usually quite hot, but there are times when she looks thin, bog eyed & weird. I prefer Rachel Bilson & the actress who plays Lindsay, at least they're consistently hot. Mainly though I watch it because I enjoy the relationship with the parents of Seth. Peter Gallagher is fantastic.

Oh yeah, I loved the glimpses of the emperor gone narsty. Wonder how they accomplish the visual transition.

Thinking the same thing just asecond ago. She's kind of like Eva Mendes, she looks hot, but at times very strange-figured, and bug-eyed/strange-faced.

If i would've to chose one, I'd go with Rachel. I've got something for Brunnets, and definetly if they wear some kinda super-power coustumes from time to time. angel

NO!

Lucas mustn't touch anything worthwhile. I'm okay with him ruining Star Wars. But not anything cool like Monkey Island.

Lightsaber Duels in Episode 1, 2, 4, 5 and 6 combined:
Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon vs. Darth Maul
Obi-Wan and Anakin vs. Count Dokuu
Yoda vs. Count Dokuu
Obi-Wan vs. Darth Vader
Luke vs. Darth Vader
Luke vs. Darth Vader (in the forest, not much of a duel anyway)
Luke vs. Darth Vader (on the second Death Star)

Lightsaber Duels in Episode 3:
Anakin and Obi-Wan vs. Count Dooku
Obi-Wan vs. General Griveous
Mace Windu (and "the gang") vs. Chancellor Palpatine/Darth Sidious
Mace Windu vs. Darth Sidious and Anakin
Anakin vs. Everybody
Yoda vs. Darth Sidious
Anakin vs. Obi-Wan

cool

Obi-Wan? In this trailer Anakim fights Dooku alone, before Palpatine.

Never seen Anakin fighting Mace too.

Heh smile Anakin has republic/empire on his side, so not everybody apparently wink And it's not a fight like others you mentioned cool

Just my 2 cents wink And better be careful, some things may turn out differently then it seems in trailer. It always been that way.

For instance (completely other example, not a fight of any kind):
in trailer we see Windu saying to Anakin: "You're on this council, but we do not grant you the rank of Master", and Anakin responds: "What?". I'm pretty sure that in fact Mace's words were directed to Obi-Wan, because he never achieved rank of Jedi Master, and he can be seen sitting in the council. Anakin in the council sounds ridiculous. No way it could happen, by any means.

EDIT
P.S.
And I don't think I've seen Grevious wielding lightsaber, but I guess we all suspect that this will happen razz wink

Uh... you've obviously not found any spoilers. The jedi got promoted FAST during the clone war, and obi wan became a master and anakin a knight. Palpatine appointed Anakin to the counsel, but the counsel didn't think he was ready to be a master.

Anakin and Obi-Wan vs. Dooku is a fight that takes place in the movie. SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS: Obi-Wan is hurted during the fight, just at the end of that fight Anakin fights Dokuu alone.

From inside information I can promise you that the fight Mace Windu vs. Darth Sidious and Anakin will exsist. cool Not long but it will be there SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS: (Actually Anakin just chops Mace Windus hand off after fighting him 1 second or less so you're right about that in one way.)

Well, okay then. Anakin vs. the Jedi Temple smile

Redhawksrymmer - OK, you got me, I try to be spoiler free, so I base on trailer, like in case of Anakin vs Dooku fight, you see Palpatine there (similar to ROTJ, isn't it?), so Obi-Wan sounds weird. But now I prefer to end this discussion, as you have more cards and I don't want to see them too soon (may 19 biggrin ) wink

That was one of the most action packed emotional trailers I have ever seen for a movie. I have a feeling this movie will be very good, even though episodes I and II were kind of a let-down. btw, has anyone seen the trailer for the amityville horror? Dude that trailer was freaking intense! I saw it when I went to see Million Dollar Baby, and let me tell you, just the TRAILER ranks on my most intense/scariest movie list.

Amityville horror sequel? That sounds great, the first one was ok, I loved it, but wasn't THE scariest, but still very scary. I'll have to check it out. Can you point me to a trailer? I'll do some searching anyways.

Right Here, Serpent.

Not a sequel, a remake. Looks way better than the original to me.

Thanks, I'll have to check it out. I hope it is better than the original. +'s to you.

EDIT: That was great, really scary. I am glad the y used the original music and the same house look. Though I would have preffered to not have seen Jodie, no I am going to have to just hide in a room with fluffy bunnies. All I can say is: My God...
