Shadows and antialiasing

Does anyone have a suggestion on how to get rid of jaggies other than "blur". Someone mentioned an antialiasing setting but I can't seem to find it, and it's not anywhere in the manual. AE was also mentioned in the post, so I'm wondering if this is an AE setting... "Anti-alias layers"??

Also, I need to know if anyone has a trick for retaining shadows from the original footage, or adding them back without a third party program.

Any help would be appreciated

I'm not sure you can retain the shadow, but you can add it back in. Check out this tutorial:

then use the animate thing to position the shdow at different angles if you want to.

Thanks. this helps. I still am having aliasing problems, and cant seem to find a fix. Any ideas?
