I have AlamDV, and Premeir 6.02b. Would buying Chromanator be worth it? Does it perform better than premeir at green screening? I like the free hand garbage mattes ability it boasts about, but the rest of the features seem to already appear in Premeir. Just qurious if anyone else has experimented with this. I love AlamDV 2.0 it's one of the best peices of softwear I have even bought, is Chromantor just as good? Also if I get Chromantor is their a library of pre-rendered backgrounds for download anywhere? I can get my own, but like I said I'm just a bit curious.

Thanks,
William

Premiere is possibly the worst program you could use for greenscreening DV unevenly lit screens. Download the Chromanator demo and give it a try, you'll see what I mean. If you don't know how it works, just follow some tutorials in the tutorial section of the site. Keep in mind there will be a HUGE upgrade to Chromanator in the next few months.

If you love AlamDV2, I think you'll love Chromy even more smile And I think that CSB is planning to add a stock footage section to the site at some point in the future, and that'll probably have some backgrounds. In the meantime, you can find anything on google.

The only time I've really heard anything about it was in this thread:

Chromanator users should look forward to the next update, which will include masses of extra features and gizmos.
Maybe there is better information somewhere else?

personally, i think chromy is the best, its the most recommendable, so id say to go for it

it gives clean cuts, and gives free hand garbage mattes.

it has color brightness gradings for cloning and stuff, its just amazing

get chromy its awesome
