masks won't work

I was editing a clip with light sabers and When I tried putting the masks in, the quad was empty. wall

I'm not sure I understand... was it an empty quad? You just saw the border box with the vertex handles and nothing inside? A mask should look white when working in the program, and turn transparent once rendered. Are you in 32-bit color depth?

I am ussing 32-bit color depth, but the quad is still empty wall

Are you using the default saber plugin?

Did you drag the effect key all the way until the end? that is probably what is happening, you need to drag the first star all the way to the end of your movie.

I'm using the saber plugin but that has nothing to do with my problem, wall and the efffect key is not the problem.
