i downloaded and registered Alamdv 2 a few months ago and its great... except that im on on a severely slow dialup internet connection and cant download any plugins in a span of less than 12 hours per effect. This makes using the program very difficult. In my current location, no faster connection is available at this point. my only percieved option had been to use another computer in a different location with a faster connection speed and download to a portable memory drive. However I cannot download pkugins on another computer due to the reasonable restriction of registration. If i use my own "magic code" i recieve a message stating that it is in use by another owner (my computer at home.) Any ideas?

Well for starters, you haven't registered a magic code to your username. Once you register the magic code to your username you can download plugins from anywhere.

It's not something you could do casually, re-signing up to the site and inputting registration details and all...

The Magic code system simply doesn't work the way it seems you think it does, It remains stuck to the one user that has registered it.

Having checked your ip I can't see anyone else posting from your computer. Are you certain that you have purchased the software and should have a magic code?

ok now i get it. i signed in under the name pixelboy when i bought it, had it all registered and such and then could not remember my name, and created a new one with the same email address, logically assuming that the code would work again when i put it in for the new name. now i cant remember the password for pixelboy. help me out here i cannot afford to buy the program again, i could barely afford it the first time.

Simply use your "forgotton your password?" feature of the site and login as pixelboy. razz

I'll have to get malone to check out the emails later on today.

If you could email team@fxhome.com with a detailed description of your problem and what you want to do (don't forgot a link to this thread) then I'm sure that they can get right on it and sort it out.

I still think that you should be able to retrieve details for any account you've lost regardless of it's email. Give it a try, the site does have measures in place to help you.
