It took me 10 minutes to figure it out and around two minutes to do it. Could some one tell me how to add pictures though? I am not sure how to because I never have the need to. I have two pictures, one where I get to 6 and it says "Correct again! We think you probably got it", and then I have a picture of me reaching ten. How would I add now?

Edit: Incase you are worried about people cheating you can just have them tell you what the answer to the picture they put up is. Just a thought, you could even ask me.

Fun brain teaser.

Wizard -

To attach an image to a post, it must be hosted on the internet somewhere (I reccomend www.imageshack.us - quick, easy and free).

Then, when you have a URL for the picture, add this line to your post:

[img]WWW.URL-OF-YOUR/PICTURE.WHATEVER[/img]

Replacing the example URL between the image tags with the one you have for your image.

I hope this helps smile

Cheers,
Arktic.

lol, sorry Brettsta. I would help but I am not one to break the rules, I would hate to ruin the fun for every one else. Just sit there looking at the screen, and keep in mind everything that is said in the first paragraph of the game. It will come to you, keep at it.

Good luck.

I think Petals Around the Rose is one of those things where the smarter you are, the longer it takes you to figure out. I say this because the smarter you are, the more plausable theories you can come up with, which then need to be eliminated.

After 4½ hours, much frustration, and a half piece of paper covered with numbers and notes, I haven't made much more progress than when I first started.

From the dice you have to come to the conclusion of what the number is before clicking on the answer and finding out.

The cleverer you are the longer it will take, (that's my excuse).

Hehe it took me less than a minute when I first saw it without the hint in the instructions. Its not really about how smart you are but more about the way you think. It is very interesting how some people get it right away and others can be looking at it for hours and not get it.

The way I got to the answer is this. I'll try not to give it totally away but skip over this if you dont want clues. Firstly I think its a puzzle so there must be some trick to it, anything could be important. So what do we know? The title must have some relevance so thats a big clue. Its a bunch of different coloured dice and not just numbers so that could be important. The dice are different colours, maybe that is too? Thinking about the simplest things first, is it even a pattern or is there something simpler to it?

I just did this, and I got the gist of the solution when I first read it, but I didn't apply the solution correctly to the problem- (i forgot about one of the dice)-so I went in another direction, trying to solve it for about fifteen minutes. It was fairly easy. I can't post a screenshot, because I'm at school and I can't upload, but just take my word for it; I got it.

I did about 3 and didn't get them right, re-read the instructions then I saw the solution. Not really that tricky of a puzzle they shouldn't even give it a name or instructions really. Just have dice on a page and give you the solutions so that you can figure out the common denominator between the solution and the dice.

Apparently I am not good at things like this. I've been trying over and over again for about a half hour and I can't find any pattern, or relation between the numbers or anything having to do with the name.

EDIT: Ok, finally got it after being guided along. I was thinking too mathematically.
