In 30 minutes mtv will have the specs for the xbox 360! Everyone should watch it and see what microsoft has in store for us. That's 9:30 eastern time in the United States. So convert that for yourselves. This is so awesome!

You can put any face plate on it you want. Also, if I understood correctly, the entire thing is wireless. I think it even powers on without wires. I hope it doesnt use batteries confused

Everything looks like crap except for Condemned, Full Auto, and Gears of War.

http://www.mtv.com/games/video_games/xbox/index.jhtml

Watch those three movies. They impress. Everything else is just current gen with image filters and normal mapping. Except maybe for Ghost Recon and PGR. Those didn't look that bad, but they didn't look next gen.

Well, the XBox 360 is in the same position PS2 was in. PS2 matches up to XBox and Gamecube even released much earlier, but when it started the graphics etc. were pure crap. So games will improve. And I don't know what game it was for but did you see the technology they used for the forest in that game? It is amazing, I will try and find screens if someone doesn't beat me to it. I just can't wait for E3 to hear about all the next gen stuff. It will be really cool. I wonder what the secret for Revolution is... Anywho, XBox 360 will improve quality-wise for those of you who have your doubts so far.

EDIT2: Where can I find the Xbox 360 videos on MTV's website? I can't find them on the adress sidewinder wrote.

I'm probably most excited about the live features. The 'Zones' nearly ensures you play with people that take the games as seriously as you, though I'm sure there will be plenty of 'Wee Ones' who think their pro. The whole Gamercard prospect looks very cool.

I also like the idea that it's supposed to connect to your TV wirelessly, play DVD's out of the box, has a version of Windows Media Center included, is fully backwards compatible including Live support, has a removable harddrive.

Oooh, it's going to be cool.

The console information was leaked (including the photos) weeks ago.

I'm looking forward to the next generation GameBoy, Gamecube2 and PS3. The get me excited. That white brick that is the Xbox2 looks like a 'women's shaver'.

biggrin Still, sounds powerful.

Oh and how it will shave!

I also look forward to seeing what's so revolutionary about nintendo's next system. I just really hope Nintendo doesn't go down in flames, but I have faith.

I would also really like to see what the cell powering the PS3 can do.

Only a few more days...

Nice thingie on the X-Box 2 is: He fully suports the Unreal engine 3. For the ones who don't know how the graphics look if it contains that engine:

EDIT: Errr... srry, I've read later in this topic that you could watch movies of the new graphics redface But that doesn't means you may not see that nice picture !

hehe, I've met them.

I've recently given up on consoles altogether, funding both an active console and PC gaming hobby is prooving way too expensive nowadays, and it has to be said... The best of my favourite genres are all covered by PC.

Yeah, I can't wait to play The Godfather on this, it actually looks very promising.

They say that the white "skin" on there, you will be able to remove and put your own skin in.

My little brothers playing FORZA at the moment, it looks like a fantastic driving game. Gotta give you that wink

The Unreal pics also look unbelievably good, though I've always hated Unreal's style of gameplay in comparison to Quake or Half Life. Oblivion is the one I'm interested in.

PCs will always be better... end of.

Personally I'd rather waste an obscene amount of money on a graphics card than a crappy console.

Heh, sorry for the soon posts back to back, but umm, Revolution details. It will play DVDs (finally) and it will be the height of 3 DVD cases. I can't wait for E3 to see this new stuff.

They also said the big ass power button will be used for more than just power, but that statement was followed by the terrible 'dot dot dot', so my guess on what it will be used for is as good as yours.

That's not a power button. It's like the button on Tivo remotes that takes you to the console menu. You can do a lot from that menu, including shut off the power.
