[edit by moderator] NOTE: its called Alam not Alarm

Plus, the word on the street is, they will be converting some of the most popular/useful plugins to stock footage for use in EffectsLab and Chromanator.

Still not able to download the plugins, and it says I don't have Alam DV registered. True, I never purchased Alam DV, just the new EffectsLab.

If you never purchased AlamDV2, I would assume you won't have access to it.

But EffectsLab is just the new Version of AlamDV. Why shouldn’t owners of EffectsLab have access to the old effect libraries? It wouldn’t hurt anyone because AlamDV2 is no longer available.
This particle system surly is a great thing if you have figured out how to use it. But I really need some of the old stock footage now and would be disappointed if I had to freeze my current film project until new footage is released for EffectsLab.
Maybe someone from the FXHome team here can do something about it?

EL may be the upgrade to ADV2, but there isn't a single line of code which is the same between the two. ADV2 is out of date in concept as well as functionality, so the way effects are created has been totally overhauled for EL and as a result the old plugins for Alamdv2 simply don't work in EffectsLab. It doesn't support them.
Some of the more less abysmal/more useful plugins are, however, being converted for use in EL. There are also going to be various 'presets' available for EL, which basically create particle-based effects for you instantly, rather than having to work out how to use the particle system yourself first.
Both the converted plugins and the presets will be released in the near future.
