Hey, just wondering. Does anyone knows if there will be that nice: "Buy-it now-and-get-the-newer-version-free-action" will also be for the chromonator. Cuz then I know if I need to buy it now, or just wait a little time...

Thanks a lot

Although I can't speak on behalf of the FXhome Team, It's my understanding that no information on the sequel to Chromanator has been announced as of yet.

Expect more details closer to release. It's all hands on EffectsLab at the moment. smile

Well, then I'll buy it next week. I mean, if that cheap upgrade costs R still there. Then it doesn't matter that much anyway !

Its not really chromy 2, just chromy with a facelift to look like effects lab, and some spiffy new bells and whistles.... or at least thats what i've been led to believe...

oh come on guys, any upgrade fee is gonna be peanuts. The guys lost $100,000 in sales on the free upgrade to Effectslab and they learned their lesson. They have to make money on this and frankly moaning about a few pounds to upgrade to whats effectively a £500 peice of software in all but price is a bit ungrateful. these guys are risking everything to get the software out there at an affordable priec, they need support not complaints.

As for the name change....guess what, the programs have grown up, you can come along or be left behind. If they are gonna break into the big leagues the programs have to have a uniform identity. They said when the EffectsLab name was announced that the family of products would all carry the LAB suffix. Makes sense to me. It's whats in them that counts, not the name.
