I'm just an Effects Lab / AlamDV2 / Chromanator user... FXHome has not indicated any need of immediate finances or anything like that. I just wanted your honest opinion.
I know the developers have sunk a lot of time/resources into the current projects, so I was wondering if any of you would be willing to make donations to FXHome. I would be willing myself, but not enough to buy extra, unneeded licenses. A lot of $20 donations could add up to quite a bit a moola. So, please vote in the pole, and if things look like a go, I'll suggest it to the developers.
From their webchat a few days ago, it sounded as if they aren't in immediate need of assistance, but moola is one of the only things keeping them from rapidly expanding.

If you want to donate in some way to the FXhome cause then my advice is for you to buy one of the t shirts. This way you also recieve something back for your money

Yes, good idea, but the t-shirt still costs FXHome money. True, it probably doesn't cost much, but I was just trying to figure out how much people would actually be willing to donate.
Thanks for the suggestion, though!

It in fact, does cost FXhome money, they have to pay for the shop at cafe press. The profits taken in from the T-shirts pay for that, then go to FXhome.

I have a shop at cafepress, and it's been a few months and I've yet to pay anything. I think as long you charge more than the base price, all they do is take out the base price from what you charge, and give you what's left.
Still, Tshirts are a very good way to contribute.

Although I think to have a cafepress shop seamlessly integrate into the site like on Fxhome it does cost a little extra. I may be wrong though.

I believe that they are making a major and appreciated effort and I commend you for your willingness to go beyond to support their efforts.
I think that the best way to show support, however, is to purchase their products rather than make donations. This rewards the results of their efforts rather than the fact that they are making an effort.
When they released the preview version of EffectsLab, I downloaded my upgrade copy for my PC. Then, I showed my support by purchasing a separate copy for my Mac. I also purchased chromanator, at that time, even though I heard that it is due for a major upgrade.

As far as I know you do NOT have to pay for CafePress. The way CafePress makes money is from their set price. For FXhome to make a profit they would have to raise CafePress's set price up.
1. CafePress tshirt is 15 dollars. FXhome doesn't raise the price so they make nothing from it. CafePress gets the money.
2. CafePress tshirt is 15 dollars. FXhome raises the price to 20 dollars. FXhome makes a 5 dollar profit off of every tshirt bought. CafePress get's 15 dollars.

I think actually, free shops that don't cost anything to setup look like this - http://www.cafepress.com/shantae_shop/
Ones that cost something monthly, like here on Fxhome look like this - http://www.cafepress.com/fxhome
If you want a shop to match your site, it costs extra.
I think thats right.

Another way to help us out if you enjoy the program is to tell your friends and family about it. The more people that know about FXhome the better. At the moment we rely heavily on word of mouth, so this is something that really makes a difference for us. Of course, you won't look as super cool as you would if you bought a tshirt

I just bought two shirts, sweatshirt and plain T. I can't wait to get them, that was my donation/gift besides buying the program, spreading it to my cousins, etc.

Thanks for all the input, guys. I'm convinced -- the best way to help FXHome it to buy licenses, t-shirts, and pass on these great products to friends, family, etc.
Thanks again for your input!
