This is an EffectsLab test I did using Detonation Film's rocket and explosion stock footage. It's nothing serious, that's why at the end, the dust just kinda disappears. If it were for an actual short film, I would make sure that didn't happen.

The sound is from the movie September Tapes, I tried to re-enact a scene where a terrorist launches an RPG towards the documentary crew and their translator.

I assume that the dust was created using the effectslab particle engine ?

"Using Detonation Film's Rocket and explosion stock footage"

I didn't use the particle system. I'm slow, so I'm still trying to get a grasp of the new system.

very nice! the rocket was most impressive, however you should have added some kind of fire explosion, but the smoke on the rocket was nice!

Give the props to Detonation Films, all I did was darken their stock footage so the background wouldn't show up so much on the video clip.

Oh I will. Once all my tan friends get back into the country, we're going to make a September Tapes style movie which will have middle eastern terrorists attacking some location...Probably just a friend's house. But yeah, one will definately have an RPG.

EDIT** Wait, no. It'll be a while actually, because once they get back into the country, we're going to work on my zombie series project, THEN we'll do the terrorist thing.

First you have to transfer the video file to .mov.
