Batfollies, as you can already surmise, is an Batman spoof. It was created as a project submission for the 2005 Wizard Direct to Video competition. What's it about? Well...any Batman fan familiar with the Nightfall storyline will get a kick out of and understand it. Basically we deconstructed and reconstructed Batman to be the complete opposite of what he really is. I don't want to go into too much further depth without ruining it for you. So give it a watch and let us know what you think.

It was funny at times and the you have some people who can act, but, alas, the audio was so horrible it is difficult to give you more than 3 stars.

We do agree, the audio was the weak link in our film. It was only our second production and it was quite the learning experience. We were without the benefit of a boom mic and were shooting with $395 Samsung SCD107 MiniDV camcorders and were using the onboard mics on them. There is a lot that we would have liked to change now that we look back on it, but that was then. The compression we used to drop the file size didn't help the quality much either. But even so, many who have watched it have really enjoyed it and that is why we were happy to get our website up and running so that we could share it with everyone.

Just watched this movie, and I've got to say, even though everything wasn't technically that great, it was more than made up for with the comedy. Some of the comedy reminded me ofr the Scary Movie Trilogy or Kung-Pow; especially jokes such as

"The mere thought of that makes my boys shrivel"
"That or the fact that it's cold....and your fly is open."
*zips fly*
"Wow! You really are the greatest detective!"

LOL!! Funny video. something i can see me and my friends doing. These type of videos set the mood for comedy home made films.. I loved the Spanish BATHOMBRE". Would have been nice to see him in action (small clips) using his Mexican fighting techniques then it ends..

Enjoyed the video and keep it up! I noticed you used the plug in for the bat signal at the beginning..

May it please all who read, that Batfollies won the Best of Show at a local fanfilm competition in Boise last week, where it even beat Hoth Fantasy Fulfillment (also enshrined here). Give them a pat on the back and watch the show with a big smile.

Ok. Just a heads up to fans of this series: Due to the huge response from websites such as Batman Fan Films, Comics2Film, Defender of Gotham, as well as our own website, we have decided to turn this into a webseries. It will be titles...ahem....BATFOLLIES: THE WEBSERIES. We currently have episode 1 shot and edited and we're just waiting to get the standardized intro finished. The title music in it will be a custom composition done by a local musician and will be in the style of the classic 60's Batman tv show. Anyhoo....we hope that the fans from this site will enjoy it as well. Thanks!
