Every year my family goes deer hunting. It's turned into a pilgrimage of sorts. The experience has become very predictable and routine, so I decided to stir things up and make fun of it a bit.

There are lots of inside jokes in this little flick, when I showed my family they couldn't stop laughing, I'm not sure others will find this as amusing as they did, but I thought I'd post it anyway.

This was my first claymation film, I added Alam DV2 effects at my friends house, I've since bought Effects Lab and am looking forward to putting it through it's paces in the near future. As a first effort I think things went ok, but there's a lot that I learned and will do different next time.

All comments welcome. Enjoy!

If you don't have WindowsMediaPlayer, then you can watch this flick in Flash format at http://chalkmaze.com/film.html

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAH.... AHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAH
good god that ending is hilarious. The entire movie is so cutsey and boring, but that last scene. YES. I think that you set this up as a family film really made me appreciate that ending allot more than I would have otherwise. Don't know how intentional the hilarity is though.....

It's funny, but my family thought the 'cutesy' begining was the best part, and they laughed hysterically, but the end part where everything changes direction, they got kinda quiet.

I laughed at all of it because I kinda knew what their reaction would be. The ending was mostly made for my amusement, I didn't think they'd find it too amusing, and they didn't. I got an unexpected round of applause after showing it to everyone though, and it was pretty cool seeing these little 5" clay figures on a 65" bigscreen.

As long as a review is honest, I think it's worth some force points. After all... what did Ben Kenobi always say to Luke? "Use the force". Besides... what else am I gonna do with it, "it's not the size of your lightsaber, but what you do with it, that counts".

I don't see why talking to paris hilton would be different than talking to any other 12 year old boy. I guess he is famous though.

Yeah, that was totally on topic.

Yeah, but really, my review wasn't really a review.
And keep your force.
It's better to rate people up.

That depends on whether or not what you want to do with it is remove someone's head from a distance.

I can't say I really "got" this movie so I won't comment on how I didn't find it funny, I did feel that it didn't really have enough substance to justify the length of the thing and was very repetitive. Like you say though it's for you and your family so as long as it serves it's purpose what I think doesn't really matter.

Ooh Ooh was her E-mail address paris_hilton148475849@hotmail.com????
Ah sarcasm, where would I be without it? (more popular probably...)

Haha...liked the film. I liked it all the way through, with all the random detail etc. And the way the voices sounded was like a South Park episode. Great. And I liked the random shooting into the air. I'd love to see more animation with this style, it really works IMO.

I'd cease the was it her or not debate. It's hilarious but we're supposed to focus on the movie...

I think you're a bit naive though. Maybe it was her, but think how easy it is to impersonate her. So much info is in the public domain about her, and countless photos (those photos look like pro photojournalist pics so probably are off the web)

Glad you liked it.

Yeah, I agree, the forum's suppost to be about my film and has gotten way off topic.

I have more proof, if you will, that it's really her, I just don't want to say too much and have a thousand people on the board bugging her all of the sudden. It's fun how it is right now. I would just say that I have considerable proof, proof that is more unconvention than a typical chat room or forum. That's all I have to say about that. I'm not gullible, I'm actually one of the biggest skeptics you'll ever meet.
