Hi,

When I look at clashes in the star wars movies I always see a bright 'bar' of light in the middle, which look like a nice effect. I see this at almost any light actually, so it seems like very common effect.
I tried to do it with a lightsabre effect, but that didn't look good. Also you get that same light-'bar' when a lightsabre turns on. Will you be able tot do this in the clash system too? If you don't know what I'm talking about, I'm sorry I can't get you a picture, cos I don't have access to an internet site right now, I might post a pic later.

Thanks in advance.

Hi, I've found some pictures that show what I meant by the light-bar:

Here's one of a normal light:

Those are some sweet dead links. Way to directly link files which only accessible through a queue or subscription.

I sort of did that with something completely different by adding a muzzle flash that ONLY had two side ejections, that way they were identical. Then I just made them long and short like the one in the first picture you listed, it's not much extra work at all, so I don't think this might get its own engine added on if it's already do-able in one of the others.

Don't worry though. Presets will almost definitely be made for this specific purpose.

I meant that perhaps it could be a part of the clash-engine that has yet to come. I'll see what I can do with the muzzle flashes.

I found this great way that I posted in another forum if you still want it

I wrote

Ok, I was searching the net and found this AMAZING package that you can use when you ignite sabers...

Ever wanted to achieve this great light effect when you turn on a lightsaber like this picture here?

Well now you can.

I made this video to show you it. Although I did probably speed it up to much. Check this out...

http://www.archive.org/download/MattEvansMattIgnitingSaber/Matt_Ignite.mov

EDIT: NEW VIDEO IS UPLOADED!!!! Here Is a clip of Ryan-W turning on a lightsaber with the new gleam effect for the lightsabers.

http://www.archive.org/download/MattEvansRyanignite/RI3.mov

The ignition flash would normally have been slower than this but I had very little time to add some lightsabers and speed it up.

P.S The yousendit.com wont work any more! Please download from the following link thanks to Serpant

The package is AMAZING and you HAVE to download it HERE:::::

One Point for two posts;
One Point for finding the flashes,
One Point for making them available again,
And in the darkness bind them!

I'm so generous, you're really asking for it ain't you?

EDIT: Sorry! I forgot to click rate up, but it should be all right now
Have fun with it!

Hahahahahahahahah, you really think tiny text is annoying?
But you're still reading it aren't you? Even though it has no useful information in it.... Oh wait! There is something important to say here! Which is that the dark side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural. lol, I guess you're gone already. If not, I congratulate you, don't know for what, but I'm guessing this is really annoying so I'll stop anyway. Goodday!
