The Dangers of LSD

|We here at Cabinet Squirrel Productions acknowledge the growing problem with drugs that are corrupting the youth of today, and bestowed it up ourselves to create this video to inform childred of the threats of "booze" and "drugs". Please, watch this, if not for yourself, do it, for, the chil, dren.|
Actually since It's Coming boned my bandwidth, I was going to release an even bigger project, but I can't so I'm going to release this smaller movie that probably won't be as big, but we here are proud of it none the less.
This is a video we made for a health class at our high school, and we were trying to go for something a bit different. The assignment was to make a short film that outlines the history and dangers of LSD. We did not receive credit for the project. Enjoy it!
PS: this is a very low quality video. The only high res version died with my hard drive. Don't even think about making it full screen unless you want to make it look like there's mud flying all over your screen.

If I wasn't so damn sick and it hurt to breathe, I would have laughed my ass off at that, but instead I had to laugh inside.
I hope you got an A+++ for that video, good job.
EDIT** I just fully read the description. You didn't get credit?! HOW?!

That was good. I am really sorry about your hard drive, I thought it would be replinished. 3/5 because of the cool visuals that made it look like one of those PBS sponsored drug movies or something and it was quite funny. Not your funniest, but I understand it was just for a school project. What do you mean that you didn't receive credit for the project?

Good vid Waser. Not to start anything here but LSD, like most other hallucinogens, is not addicting at all. It is actually the most researched illicit drug and is very safe if taken in the proper dosage and moderately.
Funny vid though. I liked the part about how after doing Acid for the first time you'll jump out a window and then cutting to the stormtropper getting PWNed. Nice.

Yeah, this movie is meant to be very sarcastic, as all the "fun facts" are completely incorrect. Conor Provenzano, the one who directed and wrote this, is probably the most knowledgable (sic?) person on the subject that I know.

Why did watching Waser decide to take the LSD or not make me laugh my ass off? I have no idea. It was just classic.
I loved the sarcastic nature of the film and subtle jokes. Those things are great. That and some of the stupid humor. Just hilarious.
3/5 only becuase it isn't serious enough or well done to be anything above a 3.

It may not be addictive but that does not make it safe. There can be bad short or long term physical and/or psychological effects no matter how much you take (if its even proper stuff that you end up with)
Plus with respect to your sig, the 'God put it here so it must be ok' argument is stupid. Cos even if you believe in God then he also created the government to stop you smoking it!

I watched this a while ago when you first made this Waser, and I laughed my ass off then AND now.
I think the general consensus (unless you're a pot smoking hippie) is that drugs are bad. But your movie takes the mickey out of the irrationality of both the public majority and the governments understanding of LSD in all the right ways. It's still silly, but it's very funny.

Since Andreas wrote the summary explanation by himself, I think it's very important that people understand these few things that were all left out.
* I was the only one who was enrolled in the health class, because I hadn't taken it earlier in school as did everyone else on Cabinet Squirrel (???..........)
* The assignment was actually to research a drug, write an essay, and do some sort of visual presentation to go with it. Instead of doing a mundane poster with copy-paste paragraphs and drag-and-print pictures, I decided to make a movie out of it.
* The "History" and "Dosage" sections were meant to have something non-humorous for the teacher (Ms. Hamlin) to look for. Really, there is nothing interesting about either of the small parts (exept for "Hippie Conor").
* It is very important for people to understand that not only are all of the "Fun Facts" incorrect, but they are highly exaggerated. The main idea, was for me to press pause in between each of the "Fun Facts" while my class was watching, and give a detailed explanation as to why they are NOT true. But, alas, there wasn't enough time to do presentations in class so my only option was to give Ms. Hamlin a tape of the video and personally explain some things to her.
* The video is not meant to patronize LSD, nor is the goal to scare people about the "dangers" of it (which happen to be untrue in the video). The soul purpose of this short is to poke fun at the strange perspective of
1. drugs, alcohol, and LSD in particular as viewed by adults who are themselves, un-aware of any real information with regards to these things, and
2. the characteristics of Teenagers (e.i. "hanging out", "having fun", drinking Coke and eating chips at partys).
I'm sure that if you pay close attention to the details, you will catch some small props like a Football and of course, Coke products everywhere.
* We (I?) recieved credit for this project.

Well, what can I say? I totally agree with many of the facts in this movie. Think I've understand your point. Nice use of camera. Acting? Pretty bad. But I'll give you a 4 because you've made a "bad"-topic entertaining and instructivable!
(bad spelling? I know....)

Not only are all of the facts in this movie completely false, (besides "History" and "Dosage") but I think you completely mis-understood the point of it.
It was not made to increase peoples awarness about the "dangers" of LSD at all. It was meant to increase peoples awareness of the average adults view of adolescents and their characteristics. It's supposed to be similar to a PBS special, made by an adult, who was without the correct information about LSD, who wanted to scare kids into not ever trying it.

Simply awesome! Great job with the layout. I agree with a previous poster that the editing was a bit rough (mainly concerning audio as it would be quite then suddenly extremely loud), but overall good job. I'd have given it a A. It was a very funny and entertaining project. Looking forward to seeing more of your projects. Thanks for sharing.

actually, what happened there was my brother messed up filming us, and got part of the wall behind the green screen in the shot. THat's why I credit him as a special guest cameraman.
