Hi
It's been awhile since I last posted here.
But I clearly remember someone posting instructions on how to copy Alam DV to their other computer.

Would I need to buy another version of Alam DV 2 for my computer at work? I would like to edit movies at work on my spare time and was wondering if I can just copy a file and put it on a disk to download on to my work computer

Thanks

The licence covers a single use of the program. If you wish to use it on multiple computers you will need multiple licences.

AlamDV2 is no longer available, though, as it has been entirely replaced with EffectsLab.

Hi Tarn

Thank you for your reply.
But is Alam DV 2 totally replaced? I like Alam DV 2 and do not know how to use Effects Lab yet?

I also like Alam DV 2 for it's explosions. I believe Effects Lab doesnt have these yet along with the many other plug ins like space ships, fire and smoke.

As soon as these features are available, I would like to learn Effects Lab and switch over.

Would you know if Effects Lab will have the same amount of effect as Alam DV2? If so, when will they be available

Thanks

EffectsLab can use all the old AlamDV2 plugins, you just need to convert the image streams to Quicktime movies first, then you can import them as stock footage.

We'll be converting the high quality plugins once the FXvault opens its doors, but in the meantime any decent editing program or Quicktime Pro can do the conversion.

What that means, basically, is that EffectsLab can do everything AlamDV2 could ever do...but better. As well as all the new stuff in EL. smile
