Will you be able to get the better version for free, or is it an entirely new program? Thanks

My understanding of their plans as of this far is no, there will not be a free upgrade. I am not quite sure if this is because it is an entirely new program, although I would imagine it is going to be rather different.
The main thought process behind not offering a free upgrade is mostly centered on what occurred with EffectsLab Dv. A large profit was lost due to offering a free upgrade.
After all, they do have a business to run here, and the future of other projects (such as DigiGrade) depends on the success of all of the other products. At least this is my understanding of it, and it makes a world of sense.
On another note, I see that you are a new member. I try to make a habit of welcoming new members to the site, so allow me to be the first to say, welcome to FxHome. It is good practice to use these forums (just as you are) to find answers you are searching for.
This is a great place to get help on inquires, or suggestions and tips on how to improve your movie making skills. On most occasions you will find that members try their best to go out of their way to help, and the staff always seems to be able to do one better. I hope your time here is well received.
Welcome to the site.

Chromanator 2 will be an entirely new program, although there will be a discount upgrade option for existing users, of course.

Hey Tarn just wondering if you could give us just a little info on what new things will be in Chronamator 2 just so the wait will be harder.
