A group of furry aliens come to Earth to explore, only to accidently crash land into a suburbian swimming pool. The few remaining survivors must make contact with the humans in order to survive. However, not all humans have evolved past aggression, fear and ignorance.

Very nice. I really liked the way that you made those things cute and foreboding at the same time. I think it was the music. Did you create those sounds yourself? I wish you had done more but I'm guessing at that point in the production it would have been difficult to show it bitting your arm off or something like that. 4 out of 5 for me. Is it possible your are a fan of the Critters series of movies?

Now that wasn't a very well thought out question, was it? If you took a look at the votes page, you will clearly see the author of this short film voted on his/her movie. razz

If little else, this film has some great novelty about it. Camera angles and a few technical aspects this film are pretty average in terms of everything else in the cinema but the special effects were on the whole quite good. The clincher for me was the critters style fur monster.

Good stuff, I look forwards to your next movie.

Thanks for all the feedback! I recently submitted this short to a local International Horror/Sci-Fi Film Festival, so to spruce it up, I applied Magic Bullet and fixed a few sound problems. The newer file is 5.98MB, but its basically the same movie, just with a better look and at 720x480 instead of 320x240.

I would like to ask those of you giving my film a 2, to please post some feedback why you think my short deserves such a low score. What did I do wrong? Or do you just not care for the material? I take my work seriously.. and always on the move to correct and improve my stuff. Please don't just leave a low score and not explain why. Thanks.

And in reply to the one person who ask about my self vote. Of course! I did and will always give myself at least one vote, if it weren't right or allowed, then I'm sure the website could change to not allow it. I do it to offset those of you who just mark the film with a low score to 1) get your own film higher 2) just to mark people down, regardless the content.

I'm working on a new script that will involve more puppets. The budget for this short was $300 and a lot of scenes were cut to make it under 3 minutes in the original version. The reason for this film was to enter it into a local TV contest that hosts short films. Rules were: Genre has to be Horror / Sci-Fi, Had to be under 3 minutes.

Here is a pic of the muppet furry used at the end of the film. I make and build all my muppets.

P.S. They seem to not like you voting for your own movie around here. they gave us a bunch of Poofy crap about it on the Yak Phlem short...But I agree with you. if you don't think enough of your own movie to vote for it... Well then....

Thanks Hue....

You know what.. I've been thinking about converting Toby Bear over into a puppet recently. That way I can go around to different parts of the world and have him interact with the public. My only problem now is.. either get into animatronics and program the motions into the computer for my acting.. or find some puppeteers... or just find some willing souls and start training my army of puppeteers! smile

I still have one last Toby Bear claymation episode in post-production.. not sure if I'll ever finish it though.. cause it has him singing through most of it.. and you can imagine how hard it is to lip-sync a clay bear to singing lyrics!!

I'm doing a major overall of my ljrproductions.com banner some of my other talents and interests... so I need to get that done before anymore film stuff.

Cheers!

Is anyone else getting a "Page Can't Be Found" page when trying to open this?

Thanks guys for your feedback. It means alot at this point. This film just got rejected from a local film-fest where I had to shell out a $40 entry fee. Feeling ripped off and unappreciated. If anyone thinks my film sucks, please help me out and tell me what I could do to make a better film. Feeling pretty damn depressed at this point sad

For anyone getting a page can not be found error, there is also a link off of my production studio webpage. You can view it from there, my main thing is.. I just want people to see my work, now that it looks like it will never have a festival premiere.
