Hi guys,

I have just been looking on the final light site, and I have noticed that you can sell your own footage on there, and it then got me looking at their Flame FX and I looked at the info of some of them and it got me playing around with some stuff that I have already come up with, I was just wondering what you guys thought smile

Here is a linking to a quick low res preview of one of my effects

http://media.putfile.com/18553

And here are two high quality images

http://putfile.com/pic.php?pic=8/23408550313.png&s=x2
http://putfile.com/pic.php?pic=8/23409002813.png&s=x2

I know that they are probably not to the right standard for final light, but I just wanted to know what you guys thought, lol smile

Thanks guys

Very cool. What program did you use to make those? They still look computer animated (Well, they ARE, what r u gonna do?) But if used right, they could look awesome! (Pst.... give it to me for free....... JK!) razz

Yamfanny - I created them in particleIllusion smile I know that they are still computer generated, but I still think that they look good smile When I have got me site completely up and running, in the Stock Media section, there will be a section for some of my PI visuals which will, be accessible, but i am still working on the images at the moment, but i do plan for it to be available as soon as possible smile

Hi swg33k,

Thanks for the feedback I'm glad you like them, but unfortunately I won't be able to sell them on FXvault as I am not quite old enough to sell them on there due to obvious legal reasons.

But when I have finished bits on my site I will most certainly have a section where people can get hold of them smile

Thanks again for the feedback

Of course! Don't get me wrong. They're awesome. BTW, do u have to be a certain age to sell stuff on FXVault? As long as you have your parent's permission to use their paypal account, does it really matter? I sell/buy stuff on eBay all the time, and I'm 14!

Yamfanny - I think that you have to be 18, I think as you would have to legalized as a seller and that, and being that there would probably be a contract involved it would need to be signed by you, so I think that would be the reason why we would need to be 18.

I am not 100% sure on this I could be wrong, lol smile

Thanks again for the feedback on the footage, lol smile

Hmm.... maybe a staff member could intervene here...... Do you have to be 18? If you aren't can your parents sell if for you under their name? Then we could just get the money from them...

...

Thats not cool...you cant sell the stock footage sad

Well...you could make people happy by submitting stockfootage for free!

Or you could also sell it privately to people and get lots of force...smile

I'm not quite sure sellinf things on the internet is the same as selling things in real life. Most stuff on the internet runs on in accordance with the Children's Online Privacy Act of 1998. I'm pretty sure that if you can spend your own money with an iTunes or eBay account when you're at least 13, then you can gain money over the net when you're at least 13. Using a credit card, however, is another issue.

I am really sorry smile

Hi,

I'm sure that it can be done in EffectsLab, I think that it is just a case of learning how to do it and that, I mean it took me a while to come up with those in particleIllusion, I created a whole range of shapes(textures) to create them, and I am really pleased with mt results, and I am glad that you guys like them, and if I am able to sell them or supply them on FXvault, I will gladly do that so that you guys can access them and if that is the case I will start working on some more smile

Thanks for the feedback guys smile

Hey mate, i got hold of particle illusion a few weeks ago but haven't had too much of a chance to get fully into it.

The new vids look pretty good, but i can see them being much better if speeded up and used as a meteor or something like that, knock some of the PI smoke on there and it would look pretty top i think.

Although it still looks great as a stand alone flame wink

Hi,

I can do some kind of electricity effects, but not alot as I haven't not yet mastered that specific effect in PI, lol, if you check my site and have a look at my gallery there are a few examples of some of the electriciy effects smile But now that I think that I have got fire effects sorted, I think that I will move on and try and make some other effects, lol smile

Thanks for the feedback smile

That's a hard one. Final Light also makes fire stock footage, although it's not their current focus. I think it's a future project for them - why not give it a shot? Nothing you can really lose from proposing your stock footage.
