Quick review of last years post.
I said I was going to finish LAJF. which I actully did! Also I said I wouldn't do any "AlamDV packed pointless action flicks" (hehe) and keep doing Comedy, Drama & Love. So that's two years in a row I've done what I said in these posts!

This year I'm not aiming to do anything specific. I got enough to take care of finishing school and trying to come up with something to do after that.
Although I'm sure I will finish my Hospital drama script in the begining of 2006 and continue working with that project over a quite long period of next year.
I'm sure I will atleast do something with alittle more action and compositing this year.

I'm currently busy with script writing of 2 large projects. "Nema 666" and
"The Wrong Road".

"Nema 666" is a film about a religion; satanism. I've got the idea a week ago so I'm not that far with scriptwriting.

"The Wrong Road" is a modern mafia film. A guy in the army gets fired cuz he was way to hard to new recruits. And his wife is killed, and he doesn't has enough money to pay his house of. So he comes in contact with a mafia family. And from there of he works hiself from a messenger to a don...

Also I will try to make a comedy and a horror short...

BTW: My skills R enourmous increased since "My Revenge" so don't worry wink and nice idea for a topic cool

Best regards,
RRF Productions

Ummm...Well I plan to keep making as much movies to keep me busy!wink

I'm finishing a project called L33T and its going to be my FIRST FXhome movie submission...I hope you all like it when it comes out...

Well...I have only scripted one movie...I think of an idea and i don't hesitate to se if I can do it...I just do it!

I'm hoping to make LOTS more movies...I really don't care if they stink or not...Just if I gain expeirience...

Don't take my word for it though...usually what i say in the past is the totally opposite of what I say a year later...lol

Shoot, edit and post RECON 2022(www.recon2022-movie.com).

Maybe do another film more towards the end of the yeat. Not sure yet. The other two features should keep me plenty busy all theway through 2006.

Well, I said last year I wanted to release Project One into the world, twelve months later due to many different reasons (including the first and primary location being completely destroyed) it's now in post-production with a re-filmed ending.

I hope you all enjoy it when its finally released.

2006 will see me entering Project One into as many festivals as possible and also finalise deals with loans and funding for a future project involving zombies. This year I've picked up quite a few contacts that have been willing to help including the lead make up artist from Shaun of the Dead.

2006 should be a great year, with lots of shorts as well. smile I also hope to travel to America on a sort of road-trip thing and meet as many of you american fxhomers as possible.

Hey that would be fun!

I also would like to visit Britain next summer...I think it would be awesome...Also I forgot to say I wanted to start teaming up with people to do 'projects'...not just me and my friends...I kinda found out that if you work on a movie as a 'team' its a WHOLE lot better...

I'm not really planning anything, although I would like to do a Gunbound 2 (just to update it, since Gunbound is now very old)...

I've also been looking for a gun-less movie idea for the last 2 months now, with no luck.

Hey! CGSociety! I'm A_Pickle thar too!

Anyhooo... I'm planning a few things... I want to film a fairly long, well-plotted movie which begins it's production this weekend (biggrin).

I'm going to go back to the National SkillsUSA 3D Animation and Visualization Competition, and this time no lousy power outage is going to give me 3rd place, I'm taking gold this time, no questions (I already bought a UPS).

I've also really wanted to make a Star Trek movie, dunno how that's going to go, as I need to get a good greenscreen up and running before I try that.

Ultimately, a really important goal of mine is to get one of my movies up here, to FXHome. I haven't uploaded any of my work because I want to upload one of my good... or... at least BETTER pieces. Dew Trek may, in fact, pan out, unfortunately, I have to make a brand new spacship 'cause the one I made is... being... dumb. sad

But yes, my planz.

A war movie. I'll be releasing a teaser or MAYBE even a trailer sometime in the next week or so. The main idea is two sides have been at war for a while. A third party was formed without the knowledge of either side and they want both sides to decimate each other so they can take over their cities and, well, you get the point. So during a skirmish between the two main sides, a hostage is captured. The two sides negotiate a trade-off on a bridge. In the middle of the trade-off, a sniper from the 3rd side fires a single shot, and all hell breaks loose. Both sides continue fighting until they get weak and consider a peace treaty. Of course, the 3rd side can't let this happen, and have to resort to drastic measures...

#2: Hopefully a Chrono Trigger spoof. I love making fun of video games that I love, because it reminds me of how much fun it was playing them. Nothing planned yet - but we're talking about a year here. I've got plenty of time. biggrin

Besides that, all I have are concept sketches and little tidbits of scripts for projects that haven't gotten all of my attention yet.

For 2006, I hope to complete my movie "Her Depths". I had planned to film it this summer and release it in February 2006, but I had an exceptionally busy summer, and that never worked, so next summer it shall be completed. Thats basically all I have planned, besides for the Impossible Productions DEMOREEL. It'll be badass.

Well my schedule for 2005 got ruined due to sucky actors, but the one thing we've obviously almost completed is American Idiots 2, which will be released around late October/early November.

As for 2006... I don't know yet. I'd still like to do The Camera, but only if I can find decent actors that are actually willing to work.

just how much bigger is it going to be anyway?

It'll be within the 30-40 minute mark (My guess). It's longer cause it actually has a plot, and introduces 3 new characters.

EDIT:

Oh, I forgot, it's actually funny this time around too.

Things only started getting "serious" for me last year.
Prior to that, I was a dv-fanfilm-hobbiest just like anyone else.
I think I still have my free copy of ALAMdv 1 floating around here somewhere. smile

Still think that some of the best, most fun to watch, flicks around are on sites like this. Plus it's fun to keep in touch, see what's going on and what everyone is up too.

I have 2 movie projects for 2006.

The first one is a short action film called "The Protector". It'll be about a cop and his partner protecting a woman from unknown masked gunmen. It should be done by the end of this year instead of 2006.

But this next one will be completed by winter of 2006. It'll be a short Star Wars fan film called "Star Wars: Jedi Hunter".

Both of these films are going to be mostly used to practice with Chromanator and Effects Lab.

I am hoping to finish the script and start filmming Assassin. Its about a female assassin out on a mission, only to find out that its a trap... Motor bikes, gun fights, hand to hand combat, explosions, impossible stunts, amazing locations... Lots of work for me. Will probably drag out into 2007!!

Also, if anyone has a short film action script that I could work on until assassin, please pm me!!!

Lemme see.. 2006...

I have 4-5 shorts on various burners, plus a feature for summer 06.
Hopefully Macbeth 3000 will get a distribution deal and we'll get funding for a final Shakespeare adaptation.

After that it'll be all-original stuff. May be a sequal to Orange Crush in a few months. We'll see.

I hope by '07 to be writing/directing my own stuff on a full-time basis.

I still have some projects ongoing and polishing them off, but in the coming months and 2006 I will be working on a few more projects.

I'll be producing on a feature length student film throughout the year. Next week, I'm shooting a short movie with effects which I'll be posting here, and then there's 2 other ideas that I'm going to get off the ground that will use all of Chromy and EffectsLab's awesome power.

Well, I don't think I'll start production on Star Com (for those of you who still remember the thread I posted last year), but pre-production will continue.

As for the Star Wars fanfilm that I was working on last year, I've completly cancelled it and am re-doing it right from the script to the visual effects, and with new actors that are actually believable. In fact, so far the youngest actor I have is 7, but I'm looking for a replacement. The new script, ect. (along with an amazingly talented director wink ) a top-notch fanfilm. And which is more, the budget is only about $200 (not including the software), so hopefully it will give light to a new era of low-budget fan film makers. Of course, I have to credit FxHome for all this, and I don't mean that as "I have to put the fxhome logo on the end of my movie.". I knew, even with Chromonator, the compositing needs for this film could not be met, but now, with CompositeLab Pro, I'll be able to fix all that. Every single thing I needed is included. And even better, with my latest visual effects tests and thanks to a new and improved YafRay engine (which I have just started looking into) the 3D visual effects should be vastly better than what I thought they would be. This is exteremly important because over %90 of the movie is shot against a greenscreen, and will require heavy 3D usage (ex. heated battle between Valin and Darth Gaed atop a collapsing capitol building in corecant). After much refining I think I've come up with the best possible general storyline for the story. I'm still working on the script and at the same time working with the actors to get them to look like their trying to kill each other (pretty tricky).

Anyways, on other projects, I'm thinking on doing a really short war movie (only about 10 min.) because I've always liked movies like Saving Private Ryan and such. But thats really just something to have fun with while I'm waiting for my copy of CompositeLab and while I'm working on the script for Rise of the Rebellion (temporary title for the SW fanfilm). The script for that is really finished and I'm planning to shoot next week from Monday evening to Wednesday morning, which is only about as long as it will take if I keep concentrated.

Past that its just ideas. I might eventually make a movie out of my WIP books, but thats it for next year. And for those of you who don't remember Star Com, search for it. I have an even better sci-fi story in the works, but Star Com comes first. And btw, that summery is, like all my work, is copyrighted.

Well other than my normal days work, I will be releasing a CD of original songs. 14 month’s work will have gone into this when it’s completed.

I’m also going to see about making a special amendment to the copyrights on my music so that FX-Home members can legally use my music in their movies. There will basically be a form you can download, sign and mail back to me for filing. If you agree to the terms and conditions of use obviously. wink

Regards.

Sweet!

Anyway....Two-Zero-Zero-Six, eh? Lets see...I'm redesigning my website, redesigning my logo, finishing a script for a pretty cool movie, and hopefully shooting/editing/doing effects for that movie. I'm also trying to learn Blender, so probably some short 3D tests, and to round it all off: writing the script for "Prime Target".

Yeah, well AI2 will be out in a few days, but thats 2005.

We've a GREAT idea for De-Evolution Studios' next production. Then theres the Fxhome competition, and of course The Camera is still on the back burner until we can get a good cast together.

I also am doing some more independent work in 2006 as well, so overall its shaping up to be a great year.

Haha wow, i remember this topic last year, right after i bought alamdv2 and recieved chromanator for christmas, and now its like woa a year has gone past already.

Anyway, im currently in the preproduction phase of a movie based around a killer with expert martial arts training who makes use of multiple special weapons(and its an awsome mammal that flips out and kills people all the time!).

Im working on a script now, and also casting for the movie. Alot of the movie is still unsure, as it depends on who we can get as actors. Currently being debated is an attempted suicide, but for us to pull that off, I would need to experiment more with color grading, and we would need a SUPERB actor to pull off the scene the way we want, which most likely the acting required would not be possible out of a highschool student.

Also there are a few stunt shots in the movie, (theres a twist at the end who makes the killer someone unexpected) so the actor used in the twist at the end is unable to preform such stunts. Well mainly becuase i doubt i can find a girl devoted enough to making a movie that she would be willing to learn some tricks (like the ones seen in the ip stuntz video). So currently we have one of my friends practicing different tricks daily, hes also relatively small and thin, and since the killer is masked and like in the shadows of most shots, my friend will do all the parts where the killer is masked (which is the majority of the movie). I have also been training my friend in a few martial arts forms i am familiar with, becuase i am to big of a person to double in for the fight scenes.

-First, I will be creating a film for my HighSchool Film Festival. It will most likely be a short horror.

-I've also started to script my first "Big" film. It's an action film about an FBI agent who's life is destroyed because of conspiracy.

-I have many unfinished films I hope to clean up and have ready for DVD.

Those are basically my plans too. Except of course, we're not making the same movie.

I am working on a story about a small college town and an 'accidental' murder of a young lady occuring in her ex-boyfriends dorm. Only for the boy's new girlfriend to get involved and find out the not so 'accident' part...

Hopefully I'll be able to make a episode of my long planned series called COS.
So many times have I tried to put something together. Let's hope 2006 will go better.

I'm also planing something for the competition. Not planing to win, just planing to do exactly what the competition is about "we want to know what you are obsessed with, and why"

I've started on it now. Hope I'll have time to finnish it.

(hope link works)

I'm still producing that feature I mentioned, we've been shooting it steadily over the past few weeks.

I've also almost finished a sci-fi fantasy script (30ish pages) about a fallen angel that I want to try to make episodic, e.g. 2 or 3 episodes telling the entire story. I may post snippets of the script here actually!

Thanks for your interest, hope everyone else's projects go well

In 2006, we of course have our front-runner project FINALLY in-production sometime next summer, "The Friendship". Then, there's a couple of things on the back-burner from this year due out January or February:

Theif- A short-story about the trials of poverty and life in the inner-city
The Bear- A retelling of a classic American tale of Man vs. Nature

Then, I have a couple projects I want to get to independently, namely my movies:

Gangstaphrenia- The troubles of ghetto-life hit a lower-class white young man hard when he realizes he is the laughing-stock of his community. Hoping to regain his street-cred, he embarks on a hip-hop/rap music career, and fails miserably, further slumping into his already chronic case of "Gangstaphrenia".

and

7 Days in a Week- A movie that pokes fun at racial stereotypes (in the GOOD way smile ) by logging the life of one man in the shoes of a man of different race/origin each day, for one week. Sure to be loads fun to do.

I've recently had an idea for a convoluted Philip K. Dick-style sci-fi thriller, but containing elements of film noir and Spaghetti Westerns as well.
I've yet to decide whether or not to write a script abbout it, but if I decide to, that'll be a goal for next year.
