Fortunately it has recently been decided that EffectsLab DV is going to be enhanced, in order for it to be capable of image stream import. I am un-aware of exactly how much of EffectsLab is going to based on image support, or the capabilities of the feature, but I would imagine that it will offer what you are looking for.

wait with this new effectslab, can u even do all the stuff the alamdv could like spaceships and dinosaurs and stuff...besides 'lightswords and blood' cuz it doesnt seem like it.Can you search the forum for an answer that's been posted at least a hundred times, because it doesn't seem like it

Yes you can. 1/4 of the main part of the program is the STOCK FOOTAGE feature, which is what the dinosaurs and spaceships and whatnot are. Though the specific "effects" you mentioned will look almost as bad as they did in Alam DV2, because this is more of a 3d app job. Do what you want though. EL can do everything Alam could and more (this is counting the image thing, because if you convert it to video, it is possible), and members have stressed this to the max - as Arktic just said.
