Desciption: Jordan as a kid he never had friends, and was always rejected by others. no one wants to be his friend,So he makes one up. But did he just make him up, or is he real? Things have been happening ever sense Jordan got one friend. Find out if this is his imagenation or for real.
About movie: We filmed this in acouple of hours on saturday, and pretty much came up with this stuff on the spot. I have been trying forever to find free time to get it done. So now i finally sat down and hurried and finished it. It will also be competing in thebrbforum horror film fest. enjoy

    Title: Opening Night
    Desciption:
My film is crappy and it was finished 2 weeks ago, and has been on the internet, I just haven't been on FXHome enough to remember to post it.

We've been swamped in our creation of a haunted house in our actual house. (me and ben) and for me it's 10 or so minutes until midnight (Halloween) so, I'm SORRY if I didn't make the deadline. Plans got in front of getting it posted, and I'll have a video of the haunted house creation (and all the debates and yelling that went into it between Ben, Myself, and others) on the internet soon. IT IS AWESOME. But, back to the movie:

File: Divx (if you are on a mac you can use this codec)

The movie I was planing, and working really hard on got cancelled cause the lead role had to go on vacation when we were nearly done.
But fear no!! I wanted to make a halloween movie, so I did. It's a bit short (and wierd) but it's kind of like what all horror movies are like, just as scary, and just as good IMO
So watch it, and enjoy it.
    Here It Is!

Tell you what, in addition to my 20 in the pot in the 'official' contest, I'm gonna give whoever wins here 150 force points.

TimmyD and Miker, I hope you won't see this as giving in to those who didn't pay enough attention to the rules. While I was in favor of letting those late ones in the contest, I understand completely the need to enforce the rules. It's a slippery slope, you let up a little and eventually we'd be waiting for one final submission in mid-November or something. And I commend you guys for sticking by your rules, I think everyone will be paying very close attention by the time the next contest rolls around.

I'm not doing this to win any favors from this crowd either. I wanted to make sure you guys didn't feel like you'd put together a film for nothing just cause you missed the deadline by a hair. I just don't want their to be any bad feelings between any folks here that could cause petty drama during the next contest. I'd like to help to rectify the situation as much as possible now and hopefully in a month or so when a new contest is brought up, no one will still have a sour taste in their mouth.

Good luck everyone!

I just think they should've let the ones slide that were sitting there while they were creating the poll and whatnot. Anyways, this thread would've been better to see where you would've placed if you included the other entries. Can't wait to watch all these, I am sort of "proud" that many people created films. In the past, not many people have ever entered a regular member's contest, no matter how awesome (Chuter's challenge.) I guess my force system worked. wink

I only got to watch part of plumber, but according to the ratings it must be really good. From what i saw it was more a comedy, which does not make sense why its getting more votes. I am not mad about it I am accually happy that someone did a great job. but still everyone remember this is a Horror Contest wink
anyway I am updateing my film in a smaller format, its streaming H.246 Q7. so i hope more of you will be able to watch it.

ssjaaron, this is concerning your movie, "Solitaire."

I really liked the osund and editing in the first 2 minutes or so. The subtle ways you showed the imaginary guy were cool, save the writing on the paper. During that part, you cut between angles that were too similar, which makes for ineffective editing.

The sense of desperation when the kids started running seemed natural, but the music inconsistencies after the flashback just didn't give me a sense of impending doom (when the friend was taken over by the imaginary guy).

Overall, 4/5. It owuld be 5, but you made a couple glaring mistakes which I tihnk could've been easily remedied.

Oh, lisab8195, what did you use for your jail "set"? For an upcoming movie, I need some kind of jail set, and I can't build a set. Anyone have ideas? (I was thinking of finally buying Chromy, but I can't find any pictures of good jail cells)

I used my local animal shelter. They have 6 large dog pens there with metal doors. Also call your local police department. If your town is anything like mine, where there is absolutley no crime, you could probably use thier cell.
