i downloaded the newest version of chromanator, and when tried to install it, it froze after clicking "continue" on the first screen. I tried several times, and restarted. any ideas on what to do?

in the meanwhile, chromanator is useless, which really really bugs me. I have projects to work on, and its essential that i get this thing working soon.

all help is appreciated.

Do you have any personal firewall or antivirus programs running that may be intercepting something? If so, try disabling them while you install Chromanator. Also, are you logged on as an administrator?

I can only guess, I'm afraid. I'm sure that when the FXhome guys come online that they'll be able to help. Until then, here are some suggestions.

Firstly, just to confirm, are you running OS X? That's what your profile says.

* Try closing down as many of your running programs as you can. Maybe one of them is conflicting with the installer.

* When the installer freezes, how long do you wait before killing the process? Try giving it some time (5 mins), just in case it sorts itself out.

* Have you made any recent changes to your system? If so, try rolling back those changes.

* Are you aware of any security restrictions that may stop the installer from accessing a file/folder on your hard disk?

thanks for your post, i restarted my computer, and shut down all the programs i could, and then download it again and it WORKED. kinda strange, as filmfreak once said, you just have to download it again.

well, it seems that there was no real problem, there is just some weird bug where you have to download it many times, or something along those lines i guess.

thanks for the posts and thought,
