Is there a way I can purchase the hard copy of effectslab DV AND download it so I can get it ASAP (I have a student film to edit)? I need the hard copy for security reasons (I don't trust hard drives) and I'm assuming it comes with a booklet telling you how to use it. Thanks.

There is no such thing as a boxed copy at the moment, and you needn't trust hard drives as once you register the program to your account you can download if when and whenever you want.

You can always burn the installer to a CD and make your own hard copy. But remember every version expires after a few months, so you'd need to burn a new copy for every release.

The downloadable version comes with an extensive manual, this is in pdf format which is designed for printing.
