Hey guys. I love hearing/reading about films you guys are working on. It brings inspiration to other film makers, and gives them idea's and ways to improve. I thought I'd create this to do just that.
I just finished writing the storyline for first "big" film. I will attempt to pull together all the many things I have learned about film making/editing into one major project. I'm just now begining to write the script, and am trying to put a cast together. This will be one of the first action film I have created, and I will rely heavily on the use of EL. I hope to learn a lot from this project, and see where I'm at as a film maker. I hope this gives me a pretty good idea of my strengths and weaknesses.
Well, thats it. Post your news and whats up!

while THEY decided what to do with me.

Right now i'm still writing the script same as i'm building the set.
It will be a 15-20 minutes drama with some comedy I guess. It's about a boy who got some issues that have to be taken care of, simple as that.
I'm keeping a journal, video and text, at www.ajpictures.com,

Untitled as of yet, but codenamed: "The Fifth Play", which really has nothing to do with the story anymore the way the script has evolved.
I'm on my 3rd re-draft and I haven't even written the climax yet. It's getting progressively better though, so it's all worth it in the end.
Here's hoping I can muster up some inspiration to get this script off the page and shooting for '06. Any investors? lol...

Ahh... I really look forward to Electricmans 8000 ! Just love the concept...
And I'm busy with scriptwriting for a film I'll probably film over a couple of months, it's called: 'The Contest'. It's a film about a man who gives a lot o' money to the one who kills someone on the most agresive way. I'll try to recreate somthing like in the film 'The Feast of Friends' but I don't have a clue to do it. Maybe someone can help how I can make intestins and all that kind of stuff...
Also I'm busy with shooting a film about the great gitarist/composer, Frank Zappa. Don't expect to much of that film

I am finishing editing on Pain Killer (www.painkiller-movie.com) as well as all the supplementary materials for the website (Detective Park's Case Files).
I am also in development/preproduction on RECON 2022, the sequel to RECON 2020 (www.recon2020-movie.com).
We are putting finishing touches to the script, started modeling on some of the 3D creatures, are heavily into production designs and are halfway through casting. We are aiming for an early February 2006 shoot.
If all goes well, Sollthar should join our merry cast as a science officer with a dark secret.

I've just finished a music video for Exposures Student Film Festival, which will be screened on 5th December.
On Thursday I'm shooting a script I wrote at lunchtime today, about a guy imprisoned despite pleading his innocence. There's a nice twist at the end (although I suspect everyone will get it fairly early on)
I'm also writing a few features, including one about a girl in a coma and a robot/zombie future epic.
Of course, there's always the Star Wars fanfilm (or computergame spinoff - it's interchangeable) in the pipeline...

I completed "Felonies", my college law final in 3 acts depicting burglary, 2nd degree murder and 1st degree murder. With outtakes it was 20 min. We inserted law banter between each 5 minute segment making it an hour presentation.
I’m now on a documentary style look at Osaka, Japan, and Panasonic's parent company, Matsushita. It will be approx 15 minutes so it can be viewed at break time here at Panasonic Avionics where I work. Next I will be putting together a look at our England facility, in Slough, with parts of London and Windsor for flavor.
I also have a suspense script written, should end up near 50 min. I meant to film this the summer before last but got caught up in other projects. And I have a green-screen action short not done, but I’m waiting patiently on priorities or the stars to line up properly in order to spring for Chromy without my wife giving me the frumpled wife eyebrow look.
And all this is undermined by an irrepressible urge to learn piano, which swallows most of my free time.

I'm working on some little zombie movie (post), a soccer demo for this kid who has some talent (pre), a school film project (preprod, released in June), and I will soon be working on the FXHome December contest. I am going to start working on a lot more stuff now that I have everything in working order (camera *sigh*, computer *sigh*)
Oh, I will also throw a trailer together for a Fan film that I made a while ago. I will never release the full online, because it sucked. The trailer could be cool though.
I will also work on some lighting, visual effects, and stunt tests and put together a little demo reel for kicks.

I hate planning/pre production stages, it took so long just to get my project off the ground, but maybe it's becouse I am doing everything myself (exept for voices and music). But it is being shot.
The clayness is making me want to drift away from full clay puppets and do just clay heads with liquid latex hands and clothed bodys, or scaryer still, foam latex bodies.

Just thought I would put my 2 cents in with a list of my current projects:
1. Video for an enhanced CD for the band I manage, Suicide Clutch.
2. DVD with live performances, upcoming music video, slideshows, etc...
3. Aformentioned music video. This is an exciting project that is going to be very fun to do.
4. Visual effects shots for a local indie movie. This is a nice challenge, but very time comsuming. They have an idea for a title sequence that will be a little tricky to pull off, but fun either way.
5. Recording the aforementioned band for a new demo cd.
6. Various graphic design projects.
Well, besides that, I have a ton of legal copyright and trademark work I have to do for my business and the band, as well as managing those guys. Somewhere, sometime, I will find some time for my own projects.

I am working on my first Feature Length Film, it's a Horror/Dark Comedy... Yeah weird combo I know. It's called "V.A.m.L" or "Vampires, Axe murderers and Lesbians; OH MY!"
I am going to be using EL for some of the special effects including vampires turning into ash after being hit and some Witch magic (Yeah... Witches too.. Like I said it's different).
I am also using a lot of pratical effects for blood, bite marks and such.
I am going to be putting up some of the FX and other such tests on the movie's site.

Im currently in the preproduction phase of a movie based around a killer with expert martial arts training who makes use of multiple special weapons(and its an awsome mammal that flips out and kills people all the time!).
Im working on a script now, and also casting for the movie. Alot of the movie is still unsure, as it depends on who we can get as actors. Currently being debated is an attempted suicide, but for us to pull that off, I would need to experiment more with color grading, and we would need a SUPERB actor to pull off the scene the way we want, which most likely the acting required would not be possible out of a highschool student.
Also there are a few stunt shots in the movie, (theres a twist at the end who makes the killer someone unexpected) so the actor used in the twist at the end is unable to preform such stunts. Well mainly becuase i doubt i can find a girl devoted enough to making a movie that she would be willing to learn some tricks (like the ones seen in the ip stuntz video). So currently we have one of my friends practicing different tricks daily, hes also relatively small and thin, and since the killer is masked and like in the shadows of most shots, my friend will do all the parts where the killer is masked (which is the majority of the movie). I have also been training my friend in a few martial arts forms i am familiar with, becuase i am to big of a person to double in for the fight scenes.

I dunno. I get the feeling I'm a pretty well-known part of the FXhome community... with absolutely no movies in the cinema. Ouch. Anyways, I *think* I've decided to change that, acting both on inspiration and the fact that there's a fanfilm competition coming up.
My friends and I are ardent science-fiction fans, and we like making movies. As such, we've always "planned" to do science fiction movies of one sort or another, but they've never come out to being actual productions, generally falling victim to oblivion at the 3D modelling stage, where our "epic" titles require ornate, massive 3D sets with tens of hundreds of immaculate ship designs.
Since then, we've come to the understanding that without a dedicated team of 3D animators on our studio (for free
), there's no way the current team of two 3D animators can get these epic scenes modelled, textured, and rendered before we finally lose the fire of this movie.
That changed about a month ago, when I decided I really wanted to kill Rick Berman and Brannon Braga, for turning what was once an excellent science fiction series into the most retarded hour on television. Between Enterprise
and Star Trek: Nemesis
, I've come the realization that Star Trek is the show with the potential to be f***ing awesome, and isn't thanks to the immature, conceited hands of two "know-it-all" producers.
So.... we're going to make a movie based on the Star Trek universe that's going to be a film of epic proportions, with the Star Trek feel, and a sort of new feel, too. There's a lot of mixing and matching going in, you'll be seeing an old Constitution
-class (namely the FIRST Constitution
-class, NX-1700). It's not the refitted Connie from the original movies, either, we're talking pure TOS with a sort of modernized feel to it. We intend on this being the equivalent (or better) of "Star Trek: Revelations," though, we're obviously not going to call it that.
