I am finally getting around to install my fxhome products on my mac after having been long removed from my pc. In any event, I download the Chromy files and the installation doesnt automatically start. So I go and search and click the pkg file. After doing so it goes through the normal processes but at the end says there was an error and to try and install it again. After 10 more unsuccessful tries I'm not sure what to do...Any clues? I have a 1.5 g4 powerbook with 512 ram running osx 10.3.9. Thanks in advance.

I completed a disk and permissions repair. Now I have a problem with the key file. I select the key file after getting a new one today sent to my email via the fxhome website. It says my key file appears to be invalid. Am I doing anything wrong?

EDIT: I figured that the key file is a windows key file. I no longer have it on a windows pc, how can I get the correct mac key file?

You have to buy a separate Mac key file. Key files are not transferable from Windows to Mac, or vice versa.

I am not one of the crew, but I do happen to know that Hendo is correct in saying you need to buy a knew product/program key. I know it is unfortunate, and inconvenient, but Hendo usually knows what he is talking about, and I have read posts concerning this issue in the past as well.

When you buy an FXhome product, you are also buying the license/right to run it on your specific machine. You can, however, un-install the program from one operating system, and install it on another, similar, operating system; as long as you do not have it on two different operating systems at the same time. When you made your purchase, you were buying a program for the PC, and not a Macintosh.

It is very unfortunate, and I can see how this would be annoying. Perhaps the team would be willing to waive this technicality, but I do not believe it is likely. I do not represent the team though, and this may not be the entire story, so you can still email them with this issue, and you may get a different response.

I am crossing my fingers.
