Personally I think the Tears of Artamon books by Sarah Ash would make killer movies....Im reading the last one now and picturing it on the screen....simply awesome.

I've always thought that "The Book of Three" should be made into a movie. I read it a few years back and it reminded me of LOTR. I think it could become popular.

This isn't really a book that should be made a movie (since it already is a movie) but the book of The Lost World, was infinately better than the movie.

If the book was followed more closely, the movie would have been almost as good, if not better, than the first movie.

I'll tell you one book that shouldn't be movie: Ishmael:An Adventure of the Mind and Spirit.

But the Bartimaeus Trilogy could be cool....

Well, I saw the ones Jonne had in his sig, and they were pretty cool looking, so I thought I'd try a few. wink It may have gotten out of hand though.

plus they all offered me $10,000,000

Stephen King's Dark Tower series. It would probably have to be seven movies, and each one would have to be approx 3 - 3 1/2 hours long (ala LOTR), but it would be great to see the Gunslinger on the big screen.

But personally, I'd like to redo the Series of Unfortunate Events into well done book adaptations. Unlike that sell-out movie from last year.

I'd like to see all of the Narnia books (which will come.) Also, it would be cool if they did some of the books in the Star Wars series as good TV movies. And of course, my dream film, based on the Legend of Zelda OoT manga.

If i can ever get the book series i want into a movie, there would be hell to pay. It's a really religious book.

oh, and i always like to joke that one day I'll remake american psycho. the movie was too tame. It was missing oral r**e, more nail gun scenes, and the part where patrick bateman keeps three v*****s in his locker, all of which made the book.

The Book of Three is part of they Chronicles of Prydain and I think ther are 5...I think.... but yeah Disney did a cartoon version of books one and two cramed together and names changed around (The Black Couldran)I think other then that its open though.

Hey heres a nutty idea...why dont we pick a book and do it as a joint project on FXhome?

Hadj - Leon Uris
Long Walk to freedom - Nelson Mandela (is being made into a movie, starring Morgan Freeman as Nelson Mandela...should be brilliant!!!)

I agree. The last Seris of Unfortunate Events movie was pretty boring.

Yes, it is a trilogy. Honestly though, I hope they don't turn it into a film. Why is it that all of the sudden reading books isn't good enough? Is everyone going illiterate?

Books, in most cases, seem to be better than the movie. Sometimes films that have been based on a book lead me to finding a book I may not have found without seeing the film. I'm just starting to read Stephen King's "It", I loved the movie.

I think C.S. Lewis's Space Trilogy would rock as movies but I don't know how you would accomplish such a feat, seeing that in Perelandra the people are walking around naked. O well....my two cents

I remember watching them as well. I thought they were really cool and believable. Little did I know how poorly made they were.
