well, here is what i do: i bought a really cheap, really STRONG jumprope about 15 feet long. then you tie it around the persons waiste. if you want to know how the knot it made just ask.

this is good for explosions and such. you can yank the actor really fast off the screen, and add in a digital explosion later. you can make the actor jump REALLY far with this too.

the rope itself can easily be masked out with chromanator.

if you are looking for a harness that can make people seem to fly, your gonna have to buy a harness and a whole harness system. this is very expensive, and I suggest just tying the jumprope to them, and hanging it from a tree infront of a greenscreen.

well, good luck,

sgb

EDIT: do not just tie one loop around your waiste, you have to tie it around your waiste, and through your legs etc. it isn't hard to figure out how to make a good knot, but if you cant just PM me. BE CAREFUL WITH THIS.

wouldn't what hurt? wearing the jumprope does not hurt more than a real harness. and if it does, its not really noticable. if you want to, you can stuff your pants with somthing to make it less painful, although i dont experience any pain at all while doing this.

i spent 40 bucks on my screen, and its 9 x 11 and works great. i suggest looking on ebay, or joannes (search for it in google). apparently you can get a good green sheet from joanns for 10 dollars, but i haven't found it yet.

if you want to, go to sports authority, or another sporting store and buy a harness. if they cost too much, look up there stuff on ebay.

Have you ever worn a real stunt or flying harness? They have support for your back and waist that a jump rope just cannot do. Having a jump rope tied and yanked can seriously injure you because it would be one ring of material around your abdomen, and yanking that can cause bruising at the least, and internal organ or spinal damage at the worst.

in my previous post, i said that there was a way to tie the harness so it does not do that. if it was just one loop around your body, it would be very irresponsible and painful to use it as a harness. i would never suggest that.

if you want i will try and explain how to tie it, but its pretty hard. i've done it before, it looks great, and it doesn't hurt.

SGB

EDIT: i just reread my post, it was not clear at all. sorry about that.

Go to a local fabric store and buy a green sheet..that will work fine for a greenscreen. As for the harness, it really depends on what you are trying to do. If you just want a simple "fly back" after getting shot I'd use a Rope or a belt.

a regular green cloth really works just as well, but if you want an official one, you can get one off Ebay like I did.

PS if you want this, bid NOW becuase the auction ends in 2 hours. its a REALLY good deal, but just know it does not come with a stand.

Hi, I'm profesional stuntman (50+ feature films), experienced in this kind of work.(see my showreel: http://zeljkobozic.kaskaderi.org.yu).

This stunt is called Jerk back or Air ratchet. You need to have Jerk back harness, not any other. We use pneumatic device to pull stuntman or actor.

We have all necessary equipment, and can help you. When you plan to shoot this ?

he isn't making a profesional production. I looked at your website; your a profesional, and may need a real harness for the things you do. but im pretty sure bizzardstick just wanted somthing to have fun with, and making some cool shots with. You dont NEED to have a jerk back harness to make this kind of effect; i have done it with out one. im sure using one looks a lot better, but is not necessary to acheive the effect.

Try again, last night I was uploading new showreel.

Try to find my showreel here: http://www.koloseum-stunts.org/zeljkobozic.mov (try rightclick and save to file)
You need to have Quick time player 7 (www.apple.com) its around 22 Mb.

I'm updating pricelist for next year with new effects, will be on site next week.

Day wages:
Stunt coordinator: 250 euro/day
Stunt player: 100 euro/day
Safety stunts: 50 euro/day

Equipment rental:
Air ratchet: 500 euro/day
Big mats: 150 euro/day

ATA Karnet (temporary export of equipment): around 50 euro
+Transport
+Accomodation

Need to have one day for rehearsal.

Also we can organize this part of shooting here in Belgrade. I'm from 15. Jan in France.

This kind of stunts is very safe, and we mostly work this without stunt double.

I'm currently working on some "test" shots, that probably won't be posted here, but I'm trying to create a portfolio of most of the effects I can do. It would help if I could find a cheap harness or hear about that "jumprope knot" that works like one.

Thanks,

Go to a local roofing shop or business and see if you can rent or borrow their harnesses. My friend has a roofing business and they have all kinds of full-body harnesses to use for all kinds of stuff.

Just try it, rather than pay a guy 230 bucks a day and up to do it for you.
