I just opened gifts, and I must say I was surprised to get so much this year.

$500
212 Men cologne
Clothes
Desk and storage cabinet http://www.csnofficefurniture.com/Intelligent-Designs-11842-2200ID1269.html

I play on buying some stuff to organize my desk from The Container Store and some books with the money, saving the rest.

Since we've moved, and our new house was darn expencive, we got cheaper presents this year. (our first wish was also a new warm water tank, wich was expensive, so then we had to get even cheaper presents)

I got a clock radio/cd player, which I needed.
And much sweet clothes.
And my favorite present so far: Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy on DVD

It's only 7:44 here, and all I've got so far is a Texas Longhorns T-Shirt and a crapload of chocolate coins.

I do, however, see a PSP-shaped box under the tree. Hmmm....

On a serious note, it's nice to see the gratitude everyone has for their gifts.

100 or 100a? If 100, that kid must not know what power one wields with a GL2. You can make them awesome, you just have to know how.

You don't have to make them awesome, they come that way. However, you can tweak it to make it MORE awesome.

What are these secrets you speak of?! I have a GL2 and love it, but "MORE awesome" ? I MUST KNOW!

Little tweaks like lense, good use of white balance, 16:9 mode, lighting, good use of focusing, little stuff that if you add up add a lot to the film. Someone posted a short film on here shot on a GL2 and it looked INCREDIBLE.

Well we've had a thread discussing all of the things you wished for. Now its time to tell us what you got!
Don't ever start a thread with that title again.

Here in England, I'm sick to the teeth of these organizations bastardising Christmas and claiming that various ethnic minorities and religions find it offensive. To be honest, Christmas is a huge part of British culture, and if "immigrants find it offensive" (which they don't) then they can rot. I feel shameful towards people who have censored the word in fear of offending people.

I have several Muslim friends, and NONE of them find Christmas offensive. My local curry house was absolutely covered in Xmas decorations, and all the Indian chaps wished us a merry Christmas. It's these stupid organizations with nothing better to do that ruin the fun!

ON TOPIC: iPod Video, Family Guy Boxset, Godfather Boxset, About 20 Albums, Selection of Ales, Hugo Boss Soul Set, A few Guinness goodies and lots of clothes. I also got a GS250 back in November.

Man, this was a great Christmas!

1) A new computer with dual mutli-threading Zeon processors, a total of 140 gigs in hardrvive on it, with DVD and CD readers/writers (two of these) and much more. Finally, I can return to my work!

2) An iPod shuffle! Yahoo!

3) Smart Sounds (Dramatic Undertones)

4) StarGate Season 6

5) Star Wars Ep. IV 2 disc original motion picture soundtrack

And then my video games:

6) Mario Kart DS

7) Sonic Rush (DS)

cool King Kong (GC)

9) Shadow the Hedgehog (GC)

10) The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap (GBA)

And a console:

11) Sega Dreamcast (with about 7 games)

So thats about it for my Christmas. I'm hoping to write my own games for the Dreamcast in the future (game creation is another hobby of mine) and such. The best thing was obviously the new comp. The only thing that I was really wish I had gotten was CompositeLab Pro, and then maybe an upgrade to ELab Pro. Ah, well. My birthdays in Febuary. Looks like I'm going to miss the discounts though...*sigh* This means putting my moviemaking on hold temporarily, at least the post-pro portion. I suppose I could finish the filming this weekend as planned...

Hmmm...

So your very poor, yet somehow (according to your profile) you have a 2 Ghz G5 with one and a half gb of RAM, 160 gb hardrive, ect. and a Panasonic DVX 100A Camera, Photoshop and more. And your telling us you got a bag of peanuts and a little piece of wood? I find that hard to believe. Even if you were lying about the G5, how would you get a comp in the first place?

Please, no hard feelings of you really are that poor, it just seems a bit "out of context" so to speak.

I honestly didn't think anyone would take my post seriously, but I was clearly wrong! My apologies for misleading...

I actually got a nice selection of CDs, a couple of graphic novels, a remote control Dalek and I treated myself to an Arri Redhead Kit with Flightcase.
