This time since I sprung for CL I have another question about the gleam filter, I have a green screened actor whom is dead on the ground, I composited him into the plate I wanted and I wanted to add an effect to him making him somehow decenigrate(sp?) I added the gleam filter so pillars of light shoot out of him but the HQ image is far different then the rough preview image and actually the preview image looks a bit better as it is softer around the edges, so I figued I could run a blur effect to gleam...but ahh, nope cant do it. Any suggestions? I think the Hiarchy of the effects and compositing tools sometimes is not very good, I like the program and all but it makes things difficult. Also why can there only be one composit filter?

I wonder that as well. Really annoying, are there any filters that would crash each other?

Hm, yeah, I see what you mean. I can't see a way to blur it like it looks in the preview...

Both the levels and Accumulator variables can be adjusted so as to soften the gleam effect, getting the result that is right for you is really a matter of tweaking the settings until you're happy, give those a try.

hey hybrid, yeah I messed with those but just not the same thing, its a bit of a transparency thing and the edge just is too hard for a really belivable effect like i was going for. Thanks though.

Erfa, i dont think they will crash each other I still think it has to do with how the effects engine works, and the hiarchy of the engine. It would deffinatly be something of a pluse to have changed though.
