FXVault will not be coming right away. From what I understand, they are currently focused on getting the software finalised, and afterward they will be able to focus more on creating the new Vault.

I think Axeman is reffering to the few bugs that are left, and making it perfect.

Although the software is released (on the website) we are still working on it and I expect we will for a long time to come. The fact thats its not a preview anymore means that some things (file format for example) should remain constant from now on.

The next update will have some more fixes (some bugs are unavoidable due to the size of our company and the variety of hardware/software out there but we're getting them sorted) and a new feature or 2.

Once we get a few more niggles sorted out we will move towards doing some real advertising and marketting.

FXvault is a massive project which will require a lot of money to complete. Its a project we will be working on in 2006 but at the moment we can't give you a release date. We are planning a web chat (maybe around the end of march) where we can all discuss features you guys would like to find on the new website so the specification can be finished.

Hehe...niggles.....

Anyways, I can't wait until the webchat! It's gonna be better than ketchup on gummybears!* Since we are planning on the end of March, why not move it back a couple days to my birfday! April 6! OMG!!!

*It's not very good to start with, anyways....

From what I understand, some things on FXVault will be free. I think originally, the guys at FXHome were going to convert all the old AlamDV2 effects to stock footage and post them for free on FXVault. From what I understood, it sounds like anyone else can post stock footage they've made for free or pay.

I've learned that if you give the FXhome staff some time they'll give you some awesome stuff.. Some people were about to flame about EL final release but when it did come out it just made you want to dance on the streets and sing gospel songs.

These guys are pros. I think if you give them the time they need they can accomplish anything!

What would you know about the waiting for EL, didn't you join after it was released? smile We all waited 2-3 good years for the final EL release. (Called AlamDV3 at the time.)

Plus, you know what they say about setting release dates. I do. wink

Heh, I actually knew about this website about 2 or 3 years before I joined. My dad wouldn't let me buy Alam DV 2 so I just got mad and forgot about it. Then I one day remembered "Hey, I wonder if Alam DV 3 is out?" I went on a google search and found nothing. I thought reaally hard and remembered the website "FXHome.com".
I went there and found that EL was going to be released in about a month so I started saving my pennies...(The rest is in the forums I don't feel like typing anymore)

Yeah, they never give release dates. Which just makes you check more on their website hoping you will see something about FXVault release. Wait, is that a sneaky way of advertising? biggrin

I did the exact same thing... although i tried to think really hard i couldn't rememebr the site name, eventually found it, thanks to google. but i remember way back to when AlamDv2 just came out.. hung around for a bit played with the demos and kinda drifted away, since i couldn't buy anything... but when i found the money i came back looking to see what was new and couldn't resist

I hope so, I haven't heard about it being discontinued, but what do I know. Hopefully they're still going through with it.

We still want to create FXvault, but we haven't had time to start it yet. Keep checking the news page for any status updates.

Until they actually have time to start planning it out and working on it, there really isn't much information available on what it will be.
