Blaster Laser

I know you can do this with the neon light system, but I notice in the movies that the blaster lasers have a shape to them and It would be helpful if there was a preset for this. My freehand laser blows!

I've got a couple presets made, which I'll try to get up soon.

Laser bolts like this are a bit of a difficulty as far as presets, because the glow settings completelly change depending on how close the laser bolt is to the camera. In long shots, they are pretty much just a vvolored line with soft edges. In medium shots (which is about where mine will work best), you see some of the core inside the glow, and the edges are very feathered. On close-up shots, the glow is sometimes very small, with fairly tight edges, and sometimes is like one gradient with the core, very softly transitioning from the white core through a colored glow.

So you will likely need to play a bit with any preset to get it looking its best.
