Basic steps for developing the Muzzle flashes [ANSWER]

Hello,

I am new for Effects lab and i bought it and strugling to put a basic flashes for gun fight haveing trouble understanding the program.

I read the tutorial but still i have a problem.

Here is my problem ....

I have couple of frames has gun shots...i try to add flashes on it.
How would i add the flashes two diffrent shots and two diffrent guns and in the same frame.

Can some help me steps....1 by 1.....

why my program is so slow when i try to use my key board arrow marks left and right...it is dam slow. eek

To create two separate gun flashes, simply place two muzzle effects on the timeline at the same frame, and set them each up as required. Or you could use presets to get a specific gun shape straight away - Axeman's presets come highly recommended.

The program seems slow when you use the arrow keys because you are moving backwards and forwards through your movie - and each frame has to be preview rendered. Once a frame has been rendered you can go to it immediately, though.

Probably the best way to get started is to check out some of the presets and look at their settings.

I have downloaded the preset. when i try to import the preset pack i get an error message. Is there simple way to import preset or do i need to use preset setting?

error:

"one or more of the presets you try to import all ready exists there fore was not imported."


How would i add a preset to my library which i download from website?

That meens that you've already imported the preset, so if you click at the muzzleflash engine, it should be at the listing below. Just scroll down the list and find the one you downloaded.. Hope that's right.. wink

when i click on Muscle it displays only 4 or 5 standard ones but i dont see which i want? how would i add presets which i downloaded?

Well, it sounds like you did it right. But what preset are you trying to download and import? Maybe it's one of the presets that comes with the program...
