Here is a link to an article about Indiana Jones 4.
http://news.yahoo.com/s/eo/20060316/en_movies_eo/18577

Looks like George Lucas is all ready to start making other films, now that his last Star Wars film is out. Post your thoughts.

Also, the Star Wars TV series is all confirmed for 1 hour episodes, are going to be darker, and "everything we wanted the prequels to be."

I am a huge fan of the Indiana Jones trilogy. I have known about the movie for about 2 years now (not to put anyone down). But, in response to what you said about Harrison Ford braking a hip, I don't think so, Remember, Harrison is built Ford tough!

Too bad it won't even be able to be made until 2007, because Spielburg recently said he wants to take a year off of filmmaking at the recent Oscars...too bad.... hopefully it he changed he changed his mind.

ALSO: A great Indiana Jones fan site (kind of like the equivalent TheForce.Net for Indiana Jones). It's over at http://www.theindyexperience.com/.

Hopefully the new indy movie should be good, I enjoyed the other three quite a bit and there is still a lot for the story line to give us. Admittedly he may not be able to do all the same outlandish stunts but who cares really.

Timmy, there is actually more than one around, you just have to be able to tell the difference. With some more time and experience you may be able to :p

Cooties is a disease invented by young girls parents, to try and prevent young boys getting 'ideas'. It says a lot about these people. Whats wrong with a sharp stick? :p

I thought #1 was clearly the best of the trilogy. 3 could have been fantastic but the ending was very very disappointing. Took away from the whole movie.

Spielberg & Lucas have been procrastinating over this so long, I'll expect to see it around the same time Splinter Cell: The Gorsky Assignment & Duke Nukem Forever are released....

Empire magazine had an nice in-depth interview with Ford this month. He was quite scathing about M.Night Shyamalan's treatment by the duo.

Apparently David Koepp (Jurassic Park, Spider-man) is now having a go at the script, at Spielbergs behest.

Yeah, #4 doesnt turn out to be excellent, it wont be good for spielberg, lucas, and ford, so they'd better have a good script.

This recent news must be why my Indian Jones 4 “stock” on HSX.com shot up this week from $115.20 to $132.84 … I’ve been looking forward to this movie since 1989…

drspin98 wrote:

Even Spielberg has said that he doesn't like TOD and that it was a departure from what they had originally intended. That the only good thing about making the movie was meeting his future wife, Kate Capshaw... and that's why in TLC they returned to Nazi fighting and treasure hunting...

Does anyone else feel that Lucas needs to stop dwelling on his past successes and needs to come out with something new and refreshing? Not just another sequal....

Plus, I thought the Indiana Jones series was wrapped up nicely with Last Crusade. I really don't care if this movie is good or not, its one of those films I wish were not ever made.

Cooties were actually originally some kind of word for lice used by Naval soldiers in WWI.

Temple of Doom is one of my favorites. I liked it because it had more comedy in it than the other ones. They made it dark, but with more tongue-in-cheek comedy. And in response to Spielberg saying he was going to take off for a year off, I really don't think so. Harrison has been pushing for this for a while. And even if he does take some time off, he'll at least do Indy 4 before Abraham Lincoln. (hopefully)

What really doesn't make sense is that there's even going to be a fourth installment.

I mean, look at the title of the third movie; "The Last Crusade".

Now, we want follow the accounts of more crusades and adventures... Lucas is really mental.

Don't get me wrong, I love the Star Wars franchise AND Indiana Jones, but the guy can't let anything die off...

Shia Lebouf needs to lose that mustache. Also it looks like Marion hasn't aged a day since Raiders was filmed. And Harrison may have aged but he still looks awesome.

Oh and apparently Lucasfilm has filed 6 titles with the MPAA. And they are:

- Indiana Jones and the City of Gods
- Indiana Jones and the Destroyer of Worlds
- Indiana Jones and the Fourth Corner of the Earth
- Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
- Indiana Jones and the Lost City of Gold
- Indiana Jones and the Quest for the Covenant

Personally I think 2 through 5 are bad. I hope it is City of Gods cause I'm used to it now and because it feels the right.

Oh and on the discussion about TOD. I love it for the end on the bridge alone.

Though, I am watching the first one right now and thinking about it. It might be that sixth one. Indiana Jones hasn't really ventured very far from religious artifacts. I know TOD had nothing to do with it, but Spielberg said himself it doesn't fit in with what they were trying to do.

So it might be about the Covenant to keep in tune with Raiders and Crusade and the fact that Marion is back could hint more to that idea.

So who knows.

No offense, but they thought it'd be the last one too. But not just Lucas, but also Speilberg & Ford all decided they'd like to do another. Besides, the "Last" in the title refered to the fact that it was the last crusade for the holy grail. Now I'm sure they intended it to suggest, as a second implied meaning, that it would be Indy's last adventure, but that's obviously changed.

As for the titles, my bets that it's none of those. They're just to throw everyone off. However, if it is one, I have to go with "Quest for the Covenant." This is because "Quest" suggests some kind of action. The previous three film titles all had a similar word: "Raiders," "Doom," & "Crusade" respectively. The other registered titles for Indy 4 don't have this kind of suggestion of action.

i bet there not going to use any of them cause they all sound a bit ridiculous to me i dont know why but i just think all the names sound kinda stupid like they were thought up in 5 seconds.

They might just be doing this to throw everyone off (dont know why but the might be)

Frankly, all of the names sound stupid and made up- that's somewhat the point. It's a mockery of 1930s-style serials. Really bloated, grand-sounding names that don't necessarily flow but sound cool. The same is true for Star Wars (the originals), as both were intended to be by George Lucas.

'Raiders of the Lost Ark'
'Temple of Doom'
'The Last Crusade'
'A New Hope'
'The Empire Strikes Back'
'Return of the Jedi'.

They're all ridiculous names.

The name doesn't have anything to do with how well the movie turns out, stupid. smile

Attack of the Clones is to go with those 'gradn-sounding' names.

Look at, since you mentioned one, the rest of Star Wars:
The Phantom Menace
Revenge of the Sith.

It all follows, IMO, a cool pattern.

That's actually the new trailer (very late for a theatrical trailer). It looks amazing, even with the bad quality. Supposedly it'll officially be attached to Iron Man. There's a couple of TV spots over at the official site as well.

It was very hard to really enjoy the trailer with it being at such low quality, I can't wait to see in high quality. I am however, get more and exited about this movie, it looks like it'll be nothing short of the originals.

Channel 7 are showing the first 3 Indy movies, starting last night with Raiders.

My excitement levels are building now... IJATKOTCS is now on my "go see this" list of movies for 2008.

I can't wait for the new movie! I hope that this new movie is more like Raider's of the lost Ark. I liked that one the best. So... who is going to go see it on May 22??

They've posted some cool new TV spots at indianajones.com

The voice-overs are poor, but everything else looks exactly like it was before!

I was sitting in my car at a traffic light yesterday and I noticed a billboard for the new Indiana Jones movie (yea!) and then I noticed another and another... At one intersection I counted nine billboards - all for Indiana Jones! (I only managed to get pics of seven)

It just premiered at Cannes, and the early reviews are pretty good.
