Filmed in summer 2004 and completed in December 2005, STAR WARS The Hand of Evil tells the story of an Emissary of Evil who comes to earth to convert four young people to the Dark Side of the Force.

Special effects were created on Alam DV2, but I had to wait until my computer was upgraded before I could edit it. I premiered a high quality version of it for family two weeks ago. The version here is a lower quality one for internet viewing due to bandwidth limitations.

Hey I liked it very much, It was kinda cute how the siblings protected their younger brother. I think you guys did quite a good job for a little family film. Good effets too.

3/5 (allmost wanted to give you a 4/5 smile )

i think it was alright acting was preety good
but some off the effects were bad
the lightsabres were good but you did'nt put in any muzzle flashes to make it look more realistic.

overall it was a good comedy style movie not that funny but sometimes funny good luck on your future films

Thanks (to Adam and the others) for the comments. This was actually the first film I'd shot in about a decade, and the first one with special effects involved. Since I'm not a professional movie-maker, nor an aspiring one, my focus is on fun more than anything else.

For this film, I used AlamDV2. I am still trying to learn how to use EffectsLab. It is much much better than AlamDV2 though. The lightsaber engine is very very good!

I thought this was the best that have seen so far. The acting of the kids was very natural, and was at least as good, if not better as we see on tv every day. Fun to watch and I bet fun to make.

Not bad for an early attempt. It seems like you had a lot of fun with this project. Also, the opening crawl was nicely done.

Thanks! The Opening Crawl was one of the hardest parts. As for the effects, I'm really looking forward to using EffectsLab for a future project.

Very original, but you could've used a better camera... it looks as if the kids really enjoyed it. "Duel of the Fates" wasn't exactly the most fitting of music for the final confrontation, but then again, it DOES have the word 'fates' in it... whatever.... The storyline wasn't that interesting, but really good use of EL!
