Can I at least have some reasons as to why everyone gives this movie 1's ?

Do you guys rate movies based on only the quality of the effects?

One thing you have to admit, this movie was much different that most movies on this site, and was not that bad if you appreciated the odd humor, and I think it deserves more than a one if only for originality.

I think that the owners of this site don't mind but i thought this was a place to post films where they used Alamdv for effects. I may be wrong but thats what i think. Plus the movie was very boring. The camera angle was too far away, the lighting sucked and the sound wasnt that great either. Im not saying the film was a total disaster, but this is a special effects posting site. This film had none.

I'm very sorry to say that but nothing in the movie was good...the effect, the screenplay, the story, sound, action, nothing.

By what I saw so far, this is a site for good quality amateur filmmaking or great effects test. Your movie have nothing of that!

Maybe this site (below) would be more appropriate:
http://www.nuthouse.nut/moviesfortheeleventhstair.html

Of course, it is not a real site wink

Good luck in you future project.

To a movie, there's a lot more thsan just taking the camera and somehow film what others do...

I have to agree with Lord Dugall, unfortunately... The angles were very boring, the acting was crap, the sound had no real connection to the picture and the effects... hmm... well.... didn't really look good...
And for the humor... hmm.. I couldn't find anything funny about it. It was just... sorry, very dumb...

Go closer with the camera. CUT more (use different angles). A movie's not a stage play you know, it's simply not enough to just film someone else. You MUST plan what you're doing and see what makes that look good.

And I give you an other advice. For your next movie, try not to do something humorous (obviously noone can see anything good about this sort of humour), but something serious.

And play around with angles. hmm.. let's say, don't use the same angle for more than 10 seconds. That should come out MUCH better.
and go CLOSER with the camera. And work on the acting. And on the sound... hmm... okay... well.. just improve everything.

dood, I love dumb shit, I laught at dumb shit, but yours wasetn even dumb funny, it just wasn't funny at all, maybe to you and your boyz as an inside humour, an internal humour but for outsiders, it was lame and a waste of dowload time. even your other movie with the was pretty lame. angles lighting, sound all of it was garbage. this is why you are getting a one.

Even when you use the muzzle flash and gun shot effect, we can still hear the toy gun clicking, do you hear the guns clicking in any other movies on here? No!

your camear angles, wait not even angles just scene after scene look like they were done 3 weeks after each other, they didn't flow right. I may not be as leet as these guys on here but man take more time and effort in your movies and observe others and cameara angles and stuff, borrow simple techniques etc. no one films like you, and there is a reason, it sux!

Update! I just viewd it again, these are the problems, Lighting, ACTING, SOUND, cant hear no one but your loud ass mouth. I am curious though, what camera are you using?

Allright. The next movie I make, I will attempt to make it better, but it is very difficult. Nobody cooperates, and we have very limited time.

Also, none of us have any experience with any type of film making. This was also about the second time we used a real movie camera, it is brand new.

The sony DCR-TRV27

So please bear with me. I'm sure you all made perfect movies the first week you got a camcorder.

Anyways, I appreciate your suggestions and will take them into account.

Sure nobody was born as a spielberg... :)

You have to learn everything about movies by doing it... So just keep doing them and I'm sure they'll get better...

But TAKE YOUR TIME... Making movies needs time...

I too am SICK TO DEATH of starwars ripoffs. Even though you probly could have shot the movie anywhere yet and got better results, the mere fact that you at least tried to do a little "Resevor of Dogs" style is inspiring. The music gave the movie a great dark twist to it, and the acting by Joe was bizzarely funny.

Please try another gritty real-life movie. Only this time, please try shooting it outside your garage. See if you can find some part of a city to work in. Maybe in some Industral area where nobody will bother you. Not everybody here is as lucky as Solthar to have access to a full industral site. But you should be able to find something.

Please do another one though, as the AlamDV website is EXTREMELY lacking in orginal material. Most stuff here looks like it came out of George Lucus's ass, or from a bad episode of the Power Rangers... razz

We were originally going to film it outside. We had all the stuff out there and everything. Then it started pooring and I didn't want the camera to get wet, so we had to go inside.

well if this was before your horsey film, then i understand, you have done well, for me to give you 4 votes on horsey is quite something.

so i will forget about making a comment on this film, as people have already said enough.

keep at it. cool
